摘要: Lactone electron donative color-forming agents of quinoline-carboxylic acid are disclosed having the general formulae (I) and (II) ##STR1## wherein A and B represent a variety of chemical moieties, X represents halo- or nitro- and n.sup.1 is an integer of 0-4. The color-forming agents are useful in recording materials of the pressure-sensitive and heat-sensitive varieties, and the like.

摘要: The present invention discloses novel fluoran compound useful as the lactone electron donative color-forming agents having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.4 are respectively hydrogen, methyl or ethyl groups; R.sub.3 is hydrogen or a methyl group; and R.sub.5 is a phenyl group or a phenyl group substituted with from one to five methyl groups. The compound of the invention is soluble in aromatic solvents as well as in aromatic-aliphatic mixed solvents and also has excellent light fastness after developing color.

摘要: A heat or pressure sensitive copying paper is provided containing a fluoran compound as a color former, said color being developed in said heat or pressure sensitive copying paper through the application of heat or pressure, said fluoran compound being of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is halogen; R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methyl; R.sub.3 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; each of R.sub.4 is independently halogen or methyl; R.sub.5 is methyl or ethyl; and n is 0 or an integer from 1 to 4.

摘要: A process for the preparation of copper quinolinate in which quinoline is oxidized by hydrogen peroxide in sulfuric acid in the presence of copper sulfate wherein the reaction is carried out at a pressure of less than 400 mm Hg. The reduced pressure enables the reaction to be performed at higher temperatures and with greater control; also the reaction time is shortened and the yield improved.Copper quinolinate is used to prepare quinolinic acid which is the starting material for some chromogenic materials used in the pressure-sensitive record material field.

摘要: A process for the preparation of copper quinolinate in which quinoline is oxidized by hydrogen peroxide in 10 to 30% sulfuric acid in the presence of copper sulfate at a temperature of 55.degree. to 75.degree. C., the molar ratio of sulfuric acid to quinoline being greater than 1:1. The concentration and amount of sulfuric acid enable greater control of the reaction temperature and result in copper quinolate in improved yield and purity.Copper quinolinate is used to prepare quinolinic acid which is the starting material for some chromogenic materials used in the pressure-sensitive record material field.
