Abstract: A backlight drive method, a backlight drive device, a backlight source system, and a display device are provided in the present disclosure. The backlight drive method is used to drive a light-emitting region of a backlight source of the display device. Driving the light-emitting region of the backlight source includes acquiring actual ambient brightness of an ambient where the display device is located. Driving the light-emitting region of the backlight source further includes determining a target backlight brightness range of light exited from the light-emitting region with reference to the actual ambient brightness, where the target backlight brightness range is within an intrinsic brightness range of the light-emitting region. Driving the light-emitting region of the backlight source further includes matching the target backlight brightness range to a plurality of gray levels preset in the light-emitting region.

An exemplary display apparatus includes a display region including a fingerprint identification region; a plurality of fingerprint identification pixels disposed in the fingerprint identification region and configured to provide a fingerprint identification light; a fingerprint identification array including fingerprint sensing units disposed in the fingerprint identification region and configured to receive the fingerprint identification light after being reflected by a touching body; and a controller electrically connected to the fingerprint sensing units and configured to obtain a whole image of a to-be-identified fingerprint, determine position coordinates of characteristic points on the display apparatus according to the whole image, control a first number of the fingerprint identification pixels to emit light according to the position coordinates to obtain local images at characteristic points of the to-be-identified fingerprint, and identify the to-be-identified fingerprint according to the local images.

Abstract: A display panel and a display device thereof are provided. The display panel comprises a display module comprising a first substrate and a first polarizer, wherein a light-exiting surface of the display module is arranged on an outer side of the first polarizer; a fingerprint recognition module disposed on an outer side of the first substrate and comprising a fingerprint recognition layer and a second polarizer disposed on an inner side of the fingerprint recognition layer; and a light source disposed on an inner side of the first polarizer. The fingerprint recognition layer recognizes fingerprint based on fingerprint signal light. The first polarizer is engaged with the second polarizer, such that the fingerprint signal light is transmitted through the first polarizer and the second polarizer without a light intensity loss, and the second polarizer reduces the light intensity of fingerprint noise light.
