Abstract: A light-emitting device has improved impact resistance over conventional configurations. Such a light-emitting device includes a display panel layer, a housing layer, an impact absorbing layer adjacent the housing layer, a metal layer that is disposed between the impact absorbing layer and the display panel layer and that is deformable during an impact on the light-emitting device, and a compliant layer that is disposed between the metal layer and the display panel layer that enables a shape of the display panel layer to be maintained when the metal layer is deformed. Due to a compliance or low stiffness of the compliant layer, a permanent deformation of the metal layer due to an impact or device shape change is not discernibly transferred into the shape of the display panel layer, and the shape of the display panel layer is essentially maintained so that an impact or shape change does not adversely affect display performance.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device according to an aspect of the disclosure includes a liquid crystal panel including an element substrate, a counter substrate facing the element substrate, a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the element substrate and the counter substrate, an incident-side linear polarizing plate arranged on a light-incident side of the liquid crystal layer, and an emission-side linear polarizing plate arranged on a light-emission side of the liquid crystal layer. Each of the element substrate and the counter substrate uses a resin film as base material. A plurality of insulating films are formed on the base material. A contact hole is formed in the plurality of insulating films, the contact hole being rectangular in plan view. Either a long side or a short side of the contact hole is parallel with an absorption axis of the incident-side linear polarizing plate or the emission-side linear polarizing plate.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device according to one aspect of the disclosure includes: a liquid crystal panel including a first substrate and a second substrate that oppose each other, and a liquid crystal layer of a horizontal alignment type provided between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a first polarizing plate and a second polarizing plate that sandwich the liquid crystal panel. A transparent conductive film layer connected to a ground potential is formed on the first substrate. A plurality of pixel electrodes are formed above the second substrate. A distance between the liquid crystal layer and the transparent conductive film layer ranges 15 μm to 200 μm.

Abstract: Provided is a manufacturing method of a display device in which, after a layered body including a resin layer, a TFT layer, and a light emitting element layer is formed on a substrate configured to form a plurality of display devices, the resin layer is irradiated with laser from a back face of the substrate and the substrate is peeled from the layered body using a laser peeling device. The manufacturing method of a display device includes acquiring optical information of the substrate that is peeled off, detecting each acquisition result of the plurality of display devices from each assigned position of the plurality of display devices relative to the substrate, and performing predetermined processing on the display device in a case that the acquisition result of the display device exceeds a threshold value.
