摘要: Crosslinkable polyolefin compositions, articles prepared from such compositions, and processes for making such compositions are described that possess both good processability and fast cure rates. The crosslinkable polyolefin compositions are bidisperse blends of ethylene polymers of the same polymer family having differing number average molecular weights as obtained by deconvolution in which M.sub.n1 /M.sub.n2 >7, M.sub.n2 >3000 and 0.7.gtoreq.(A.sub.1 /(A.sub.1 +A.sub.2)).gtoreq.0.15 wherein M.sub.n1 represents the number average molecular weight of the first deconvoluted component, M.sub.n2 represents the number average molecular weight of the second deconvoluted component, and A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 are the relative proportions of the first and second components. These crosslinkable polyolefin compositions are useful for the manufacture of various articles, such as wire and cable coatings, weather-stripping and seals, gaskets, articles made from foamed and/or sponge-like crosslinked polyolefin or either closed or open cell structure and/or combinations thereof, hollow containers, hollow tanks, medical appliances, drapes and coverings, items of health and personal care, fibers, tapes, tubes, pipes and hoses, bellows, boots, gaiters, footwear, etc.

摘要: A selectable detent assembly that has a housing with a plurality of passageways. Within the housing is a selector spool that is disposed within a selector passageway and is rotatable to provide a plurality of rotational positions including a no detent position, a kick down position, and a continuous detent position. A pilot check valve is disposed within the housing and provides a fluid flow path from a pilot passageway to the selector passageway and a detent passageway. A detent arming piston is disposed within the detent passageway and is connected to a directional control valve spool. Thus, depending on the rotational position of the selector spool, the selector spool can either provide a continuous flow path through the selector passageway to a tank, a flow path that is controlled by the axial position of the selector spool or prevent flow to the tank in order to operate the detent arming piston.

摘要: A robust multiple-walled, multi-pass, high cooling effectiveness cooled turbine vane or blade designed for ease of manufacturability, minimizes cooling flows on highly loaded turbine rotors. The vane or blade design allows the turbine inlet temperature to increase over current technology levels while simultaneously reducing turbine cooling to low levels. A multi-wall cooling system is described, which meets the inherent conflict to maximize the flow area of the cooling passages while retaining the required section thickness to meet the structural requirements. Independent cooling circuits for the vane or blade's pressure and suction surfaces allow the cooling of the airfoil surfaces to be tailored to specific heat load distributions (that is, the pressure surface circuit is an independent forward flowing serpentine while the suction surface is an independent rearward flowing serpentine). The cooling air for the independent circuits is supplied through separate passages at the base of the vane or blade. The cooling air follows intricate passages to feed the serpentine thin outer wall passages, which incorporate pin fins, turbulators, etc. These passages, while satisfying the aero/thermal/stress requirements, are of a manufacturing configuration that may be cast with single crystal materials using conventional casting techniques.
