摘要: An apparatus and method for automatically removing, in an initial stage of a machining operation, a contact of a wire cut type electrode and a workpiece to be machined by an electric discharge generated between the electrode and the workpiece. With such an apparatus and method, even if there occurs a contact between the electrode and workpiece, the electric discharge machining operation can be started according to an NC machining program.

摘要: A predicted discharge gap g(n) and a predicted minimum gap gmax(n) between a workpiece (1) and a wire electrode (2) to prevent a short-circuit are added to the machining conditions, and read in doing a program check, and a predicted allowance for machining m(n) in the nth machining is calculated from the predicted discharge gap g(n), a correction amount y(n) of the wire electrode (2) for the workpiece (1) and a wire electrode diameter d, in which the predicted allowance for machining m (n) in the nth machining and the predicted minimum gap gmax (n) between the workpiece and the wire electrode to prevent short-circuiting in the nth machining are displayed on a display unit (17).

摘要: A numerical control machining system includes a group of combined NC machines. Each NC machine has a storage device for storing a respective processing program and is capable of communicating with any of the remaining NC machines. With this arrangement, a first NC machine is free to up-load a processing program owned by another NC machine and to store this processing program in the storage device of the first NC machine. The first NC machine is also free to down-load the processing program which it owns to another NC machine. Consequently, it is possible to share the processing programs between the NC machines in the system so that they may be directly transferred between NC machines.

摘要: A broken wire electrode 3 of a wire electrode electric discharge machining device is automatically repaired at the wire breaking position. After the used portion is cut away, the wire electrode 3 is fed toward the work 1. Upon detection of contact of the wire electrode 3 with the work 1, the feeding of the wire electrode 3 is stopped. A predetermined amount of deflection is obtained when the feeding of the wire electrode 3 is stopped. The wire electrode 3 is then moved horizontally relative to the work 1 within a predetermined range, until the end of the wire electrode 3 eventually falls into the machined groove 14 and the wire electrode 3 comes out of contact with the work 1. Thereafter the feeding of the wire electrode 3 is resumed to span the wire electrode 3 across the feeding-side wire guide unit 4 and the receiving-side wire guide unit 5. The attitude of the wire electrode 3 within the machined groove 14 is constrained downward by the water jet 7 sucked into the machining liquid nozzle 27 via the suction pump 30.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method of loading a control program for a numerical control apparatus, wherein the control program is composed of a plurality of load modules. Each module contains a judgment codes, such as a version number, at the head portion thereof, and is stored in a read/write operation enabling memory, so that each of the judgment codes can be compared with a corresponding judgment code received from an external apparatus by a judgment code comparing means. When the comparison detects different judgment codes, transmission of the new load module corresponding to the discorded judgment codes requested by a modified load module requesting means. Only the substantive portion of the load modules corresponding to the discorded judgment codes received through the comparing means and requesting means need be loaded onto the memory by way of a load means.
