    摘要: A wire electrical discharge machine includes: a detection unit configured to detect a contact state in which the wire electrode contacts the workpiece, and a contact release state in which the wire electrode that is in the contact state is separated from the workpiece; a vibration unit configured to, if the contact state is detected during the machining of the workpiece, stop relative movement of the wire electrode and vibrate the wire electrode about a stop position at which the relative movement of the wire electrode has been stopped; and a relative movement control unit configured to resume relative movement of the wire electrode if the contact release state is detected until a predetermined time elapses from when the contact state has been detected or until the number of times that the wire electrode is vibrated reaches a predetermined number of times.

    摘要: One arbitrary point on an upper surface of a workpiece and two points at arbitrary heights on a tapered section of the workpiece are measured using a contact detector disposed on an upper wire guide of a wire electric discharge machine to calculate the shape accuracy and tapered angle. Based on the calculated data, the upper and lower wire guide support positions of the upper and lower wire guides are calculated. Using the calculated upper and lower wire guide support positions, electric discharge machining is performed on the workpiece.

    摘要: Electric discharge machining is halted during machining program operation, and a position of the machining halt point is stored. A wire electrode is retreated from the machining halt point to an arbitrary position in which a short-circuit with a workpiece is removed (retreat position), by interrupt operation in which axis movement is performed manually. Then, a return is made from the retreat position to the machining halt point while electric discharge machining is performed, machining program operation is started from the machining halt point, and electric discharge machining is restarted.

    摘要: Two contact detection jigs are spaced apart and attached on a table on which a workpiece to be machined by a wire electric discharge machine is placed, and first, under a state serving as a reference, a distance between these two contact detection jigs (a reference distance) is measured by bringing the wire electrode into contact with these contact detection jigs. Subsequently, in a state of actual use, the wire electrode is brought into contact with these contact detection jigs in the same manner, so that a distance between these two contact detection jigs (an actual distance) is measured. Then, based on the difference between the reference distance and the actual distance, the amount of compensation is obtained to compensate an instruction for moving the wire electrode with respect to the table.

    摘要: A wire electric discharge machine capable of preventing a straightness error from being caused by consumption of a wire electrode, to thereby eliminate insufficient machining. A correction angle null is predetermined for preventing the straightness error of the workpiece due to consumption thereof. Correction amounts d1null, d2null on a program plane and an upper surface of a workpiece, respectively, are determined based on the predetermined correction angle null, and are added to or subtracted from a predetermined offset amount depending on a wire electrode radius and an electric discharging gap, to thereby determine corrected offset amounts d1, d2 on the program plane and the upper surface of the workpiece, respectively. Correction amounts dlo, dup for lower and upper wire guides in an offset direction are obtained based on the corrected offset amounts d1, d2, respectively, so that motion paths of upper and lower wire guides relative to the workpiece are determined.
