    摘要: A liquid developing apparatus for electrophotograph in which an electrostatic latent image surface of a photoconductive material is confronted with developing electrodes and at the same time is transferred in the liquid toner to be developed, the developing apparatus characterized by comprising a developing chamber defined by a bottom plate held substantially in a horizontal position or slanted with a downstream side in the photoconductive material transferring direction being kept at a lower level, developing electrodes facing the bottom plate at predetermined intervals and forming ceiling plates and side plates, the developing chamber being divided into a front section and a rear section with respect to the photoconductive material transferring direction, an interval between the developing electrode in the front section of the developing chamber and the electrostatic latent image surface being smaller than that between the developing electrode in the rear section of the developing chamber and the electrostatic latent image surface, both end faces on the upstream and downstream sides being opened, and at least one supply passage for the liquid toner being provided at the front section of the developing chamber, between the front and rear sections and/or at a portion of the rear section near to the front section.

    摘要: There is disclosed an electrophotographic lithographic printing plate having a precoat layer having improved water resistance and organic solvent resistance and an improved photoconductive layer which comprises:(1) a paper base;(2) a precoat layer on one side of said paper base, which precoat layer contains at least(a) 10% by weight or less (based on total solids) of a film-forming water-soluble polymer,(b) about 30 to about 80% by weight (based on total solids content) of a water-dispersible resin, and(c) an inorganic pigment;(3) a photoconductive layer provided on said precoat layer, which photoconductive layer contains(a) photoconductive zinc oxide, and(b) at least 2 binder resins different in acid value from each other by 5 or more, said mixed binder resins in the photoconductive layer having an average acid value of 5 to 30; and(4) a conductive back-coat layer on the other side of said paper base, which back-coat contains at least(a) 10% by weight or less (based on total solids) of a film-forming water-soluble polymer,(b) a water-dispersible resin, and(c) a conductive agent.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for cleaning squeeze rollers of a liquid electrophotographic developing apparatus by a cleaning pad which makes it possible to develop an electrophotographic photoreceptor with causing no stains. The method includes the steps of supplying a solvent for liquid developer to a pair of squeeze rollers thereby to clean the rollers with the solvent; isolating the squeeze rollers from each other; and allowing one of the rollers which contacts with photosensitive surface of photoreceptor and the cleaning pad to contact with each other thereby to clean the roller kept isolated from the other squeeze roller by the cleaning pad. The invention further provides a liquid electrophotographic developing apparatus for carrying out the method.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for making an electrophotographic printing plate by reversal development which comprises uniformly charging the surface of an organic photoreceptor comprising an electrically conductive support and, provided thereon, an organic photoconductive compound bound with a resin binder, exposing the surface to a light image to form a static latent image corresponding to the light image on the surface of the organic photoreceptor and then, subjecting the static latent image to reversal development with an electrophotographic liquid developer containing charged toner particles, characterized in that the reversal development is carried out with the electrophotographic liquid developer having an electrodeposition potential set within the range of 0-80 V in absolute value.
