    摘要: A clamping device with variable clamping force of an optical disk drive is disclosed. The main structure consists of a base, a resilient body with restoring property, an annulus magnet (or an annulus yoke) which can exert attraction force to a turntable for clamping disk, and a linking member which can change height of the annulus magnet (or the annulus yoke) relative to base according to the centrifugal force induced by variation of rotational speed of the optical disk drive. The centrifugal force is proportional to square of angular velocity such that the gap between the annulus magnet and the annulus yoke is accordingly adjustable. Variable clamping force is thus achieved by variation of the gap.

    摘要: A disk drive includes a gear transmission system disposed with a casing. The gear transmission system includes first and second gears, a driving plate having a right serrated portion meshed with the first gear, and a left serrated portion disposed adjacent to and facing the third gear. Rotation of the second gear in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions alternately results in movement of the driving plate in left and right sides of the casing, which, in turn, results in engagement and disengagement of the third gear with the left serrated portion of the driving plate, alternately. The driving plate further has an open-ended slot formed at the left end of the driving plate and adjacent to the left serrated portion in such a manner to provide resilience when the left serrated portion is engaged with the third gear.

    摘要: A fabrication method of an optical disk drive is provided. The method adapted for alleviating the eccentric issue of a loaded optical disk. The optical disk drive, for example, includes a turntable having a plurality of engaging springs. The engaging springs are adapted to secure the optical disk through a hole in the center of the optical disk. The steps for fabricating the optical disk drive include the following: first, the eccentric degree of the optical disk caused by the engaging springs is measured. Then a result is obtained. According to the obtained result, material is added to at least one of the engaging springs or a part of original material is removed from at least one of the engaging springs.

    摘要: A spindle motor structure includes a rotor, a stator accommodated mainly inside the rotor, and an internal roof magnet located on an inner roof surface of a rotor bell of the rotor. The internal roof magnet further has an inner rim and an outer rim. The inner rim is located projection-wisely within a range of a hollow shaft of the stator. The outer rim is located projection-wisely between an internal peripheral surface of the rotor bell and an inner edge of a coil of the stator. By providing the internal roof magnet inside the rotor bell, a magnetic field to immerse the stator can be generated to damp out possible operational noises and disturbance upon the spindle motor.
