Two slots connected to the top end of the coplanar line are formed at a position corresponding to the position of the projecting part, whereby a waveguide formed by the projecting part and the coplanar line are interconnected via the slots.

    摘要: A transmission line includes a dielectric substrate having first and second principal surfaces. A first conductive layer is provided on the first principal surface. A protrusion is provided on the second principal surface and a second conductive layer is formed so as to cover the outer surface of the protrusion. A slot is formed in the first principal surface such that the slot extends through the first conductive layer and faces the protrusion. Accordingly, a high-frequency signal does not radiate from the second principal surface and locally transmits with low loss between the bottom surface of the protrusion and the slot.

    摘要: In a transmission line, protrusions extend in line one after another in a direction perpendicular to the cross section in a part of a dielectric substrate, with a discontinuous portion therebetween. A lower-surface electrode is formed on a main surface of the dielectric substrate provided with the protrusions and on the outer surfaces of the protrusions. An upper-surface electrode is formed on substantially the whole area of the surface opposite to the lower-surface electrode. Further, a plurality of through-holes for connecting the lower-surface electrode and the upper-surface electrode, which are formed on both surfaces of the dielectric substrate, are aligned on both sides of the protrusions along the direction in which the protrusions extend. Also, coplanar lines and a circuit element are mounted on the upper-surface electrode. The coplanar lines are coupled at a predetermined position to a transmission path formed by the protrusions.

    摘要: A directional coupler includes two non-radiative dielectric lines, each formed by a dielectric strip between flat conductive surfaces placed substantially parallel to each other, such that the two non-radiative dielectric lines are close to each other. The main transmission mode of electromagnetic waves at the frequency used is an LSE mode, the electromagnetic waves being propagated in the non-radiative dielectric lines. Therefore, the insertion loss due to mode switching in the coupling portion of the primary line and the secondary line which form the directional coupler can be reduced, and leakage of the electromagnetic waves from the gap between the primary line and the secondary line of the directional coupler when they are separated from each other can be suppressed.

    摘要: A dielectric filter includes a case, a substrate having microstrip lines formed thereon, and a dielectric plate having non-electrode parts serving as dielectric resonators. The case includes a supporting part for supporting the lower surface of the dielectric plate and includes a side wall surrounding the side faces of the dielectric plate wherein the supporting part and the side wall are formed in an integral fashion. The substrate is bonded to the case and the dielectric plate is mounted on the supporting part of the case. A metal cover is then placed on the case such that the opening of the case is closed with the cover. In the dielectric filter constructed in the above-described manner, warping of the case for supporting the dielectric plate is suppressed and thus the stress exerted on the dielectric plate is reduced. As a result, the dielectric plate is prevented from being separated from the case and also prevented from having a crack. The above-described structure also allows the dielectric filter to be formed into a small size. The invention also provides a duplexer and a communication device using such a dielectric filter.

An outer peripheral end of the plate is located to face the case and define therewith a gap for coupling adjustment between the two resonators.The exciting means has electrodes connected to both ends of the dielectric resonator body, and input and output connectors fixed to the electrodes. The electrodes each have the shape of a flat plate and they are located with a gap between them and the case.

    摘要: A dielectric filter comprises a cubic dielectric block in which a plurality of holes arranged in the longitudinal direction are formed vertically therethrough. On outer surfaces of the dielectric block, an outer conductor is formed except on the upper surface. On inner surfaces of a plurality of the holes, inner conductors constituting resonance elements in cooperation with the outer conductor are formed. Grooves are formed in the dielectric block between the adjacent resonance elements. Thereby, impedance of a part of a lengthwise direction of at least one of the adjacent resonance elements differs from that of the other part, at least in one of the even and odd modes. In order to have different impedances, notches may be formed on the dielectric block between the adjacent inner conductors or large and small diameter portions may be formed in the holes or further the two methods may be combined.
