摘要: There is provided an image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus, after controlling so as to develop the developer image representing the predetermined image formed a plurality of times in the same location on an image carrier by an exposing component, controls such that without performing exposure with the exposing component, the developer image, developed on the image carrier by the developing component applying a biasing voltage to the developer so as to adhere the developer to the image carrier including to the same location on the image carrier, is transferred to the transfer component and detects whether or not a ghost image is generated by comparing the density detected by a detecting component at a position of a transfer body corresponding to the same location of the image carrier to a reference density.

摘要: A developing device includes a developer transporting member arranged so that its circumferential surface faces an image carrier for carrying an electrostatic image on its surface, the developer transporting member being rotated in a circumferential direction while carrying the developer on its circumferential surface to transport a developer to a developing region in which the surface of the image carrier and the circumferential surface of the developer transporting member face each other, and having a groove extending in its circumferential direction outside in an axial direction of a developer carrying region; and a suction port arranged at least at one of an upstream side region and a downstream side region of the developer transporting member, wherein the upstream side region is located adjacent to and upstream of the developing region and the downstream side region is located adjacent to and downstream of the developing region in the rotating direction of the developer transporting member.

摘要: There is provided an image forming apparatus. 摘要: A novel sulfone compound represented by the general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is cyclohexyl, phenyl; or a phenyl substituted with a group selected from nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy and halogen; R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are respectively hydrogen, halogen, cyano or carbonyl, wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may form an o-phenylene or an o-phenylene substituted with at least one group selected from nitro C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy and halogen; X is oxygen or methylkene; Y is -(CH.sub.2).sub.n --, wherein n is an integer of 0, 5 or 6, or ##STR2## wherein m is an integer 1-3; R.sup.6 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, .omega.-alkylaminoalkyl, wherein each alkyl has 1-3 carbon atoms, or .omega.-dialkylaminoalkyl, wherein each alkyl has 1-3 carbon atoms; R.sup.7 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl; and R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 may form a ring together with N, or ##STR3## wherein R.sup.8 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 hydroxyalkyl or phenyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is disclosed. 摘要: In a configuration with a plurality of developing units, an influx of air into one developing unit from another developing unit can be blocked with a simple configuration. An operation section for a developing unit that is not in operation rotates a developer roll in the reverse direction to move developer accumulated on a pickoff pole, and fills a clearance formed between a housing and the developer roll with the developer so that the air flow of the developing unit that is not in operation is blocked. Accordingly, even if a difference in pressure between a developing unit that is in operation and a developing unit that is not in operation occurs, an air flow from the developing unit in operation to the developing unit not in operation is not apt to be formed, and an influx of air into the developing unit that is not in operation is blocked.
