    摘要： [Problems] To microparticulate a yellow pigment having a structure derived from barbituric acid (e.g., C. I. Pigment Yellow 150) and increase the concentration of the pigment in a pigment composition comprising the pigment without increasing the viscosity of the composition after dispersion of the pigment, flocculation or precipitation in the composition, or increasing the viscosity of the composition over time; and to provide a stable pigment composition which can be used as a coloring agent for a color filter resist or a ink-jet ink. [Means for Solving Problems] Disclosed is a monoazo metal complex represented by the formula (1) wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group, a C1-C4 alkoxy group, a chlorine atom, a bromine atom or a nitro group; M represents a hydrogen atom, a sodium, a potassium, a magnesium, a calcium, a barium or an aluminum; Mn+ represents a n-valent cation; Metal represents Ni, Fe, Cu, Co or Al; m represents an integer of 1 or 2; and n represents an integer of 1, 2 or 3.

    摘要： The present invention relates to an azo compound represented by the following formula (1) (wherein, each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a carboxyl group, a sulfo group, a sulfamoyl group or the like, each of m and n independently represents 0 or 1, X represents a sulfo group, B represents a substituted p-phenylene group or a substituted p-naphthylene group (these may be substituted by a group selected from the group consisting of a sulfo group, a sulfo C1 to C4 alkoxy group, a C1 to C4 alkyl group and the like), and C represents a substituted phenyl group or a naphthyl group) or a salt thereof, an ink composition containing it, especially a black ink composition. Said pentakis-azo compound is excellent in solubility to medium whose main component is water and suitable for an water-soluble composition (ink composition and the like) for inkjet recording and writing tools; recorded articles recorded using said composition are excellent in fastnesses such as light fastness and ozone gas fastness; bronzing is not generated on the recorded images; and its recording liquids are good in storage stability.
