    摘要: A lens structure of a pre-focus part of an Hi-UPF electron gun to be used for a cathode ray tube has a cathode, a control electrode, an acceleration electrode, a first anode, a focus electrode and a second anode arranged in this order. The first anode and the second anode are to be commonly supplied with an anode voltage, and the focus electrode is to be supplied with a focus electrode. In a cathode ray tube of this construction, in the pre-focus part, the control electrode has an electrode beam passage hole of 0.57 mm or smaller and the distance in the vicinity of the electron beam passage hole between the acceleration electrode and the first anode is 1.9 mm or smaller.

    摘要: A cathode ray tube has an anode of a large-diameter cylinder portion on its phosphor screen side and a small-diameter cylinder portion on its cathode side connected together, and a focus electrode formed of a large-diameter cylinder portion of a diameter larger than that of the small-diameter cylinder portion of the anode and a small-diameter cylinder portion having a diameter smaller than that of the small-diameter cylinder portion of the anode, the large-diameter and small-diameter cylinder portions being connected together. The large-diameter cylinder portion of the focus electrode is disposed concentrically within the large-diameter cylinder portion of the anode. The anode and a first electrode facing a cathode side end of the focus electrode are electrically connected together within the cathode ray tube. The following relationship is satisfied: −LP+184.9≧LG4≧0.0004 LP3−0.1571 LP2+21.006 LP−922.41, LP≧131.7, where LG4 (mm) is an axial length of the focus electrode, and LP (mm) is a distance from a phosphor screen side end of the focus electrode to a center of the phosphor screen.

    摘要: There is provided a cathode ray tube capable of displaying high quality images by suppressing eddy current from occurring and by realizing the velocity modulation. A cylindrical focusing electrode is divided into first cylindrical focusing electrode 4B and second cylindrical focusing electrode 4T and the gap between the both electrodes formed and divided by optimizing the length of the second cylindrical focusing electrode 4T in the tube axial direction is enlarged substantially to increase the infiltration of the velocity modulating magnetic field to the non-electric space of the focusing electrode 4. An electrode 4a having the equal potential with the focusing electrode 4 is disposed at the gap to suppress eddy current from being generated.

    摘要: The present invention provides a cathode ray tube which exhibits a favorable contrast by enhancing a speed modulation effect. A front-stage anode electrode and a focus electrode which constitute an electron gun are respectively divided into a plurality of portions. A plurality of portions of the divided front-stage anode electrode are arranged in the tube axis direction at given intervals and are electrically connected with each other. A plurality of portions of the divided focus electrode are arranged in the tube axis direction at given intervals and are electrically connected with each other. Due to gaps formed in the front-stage anode electrode and the focus electrode, the speed modulation effect is increased.

The electron gun has a plurality of electrodes including a cathode, a control electrode, an accelerating electrode, a first anode, a focus electrode and a second anode, which electrodes are arranged in a tube axial direction at predetermined intervals. The second anode has a first cylindrical portion at the panel side and a second cylindrical portion at the cathode side, the first cylindrical portion having a larger inner dinner diameter than the inner diameter of the second cylindrical portion. The focus electrode has a panel side cylindrical portion with an inner diameter D1 and a length L1, an intermediate cylindrical portion with an inner diameter D3 and a length L3, and a cathode side cylindrical portion with an inner diameter D2 and a length L2. The inner diameters D1, D2, and D3 are different from each other. The focus electrode also has a first funnel like connecting portion between the panel side cylindrical portion and the intermediate cylindrical portion.
