    摘要: Image data from an upper apparatus is compressed by a compressing unit, the compressed image data is transferred to a display apparatus by a printer interface of a low speed, and the original image data is reconstructed by a decoding unit and displayed. The display apparatus is a projector and auxiliarily displays a second picture plane into a first picture plane for presentation by an independent liquid crystal panel. A phase transition type liquid crystal panel of a number of pixels and a high resolution is used to display the first picture plane and the image data is compressed and transferred and is displayed. As a second picture plane, a personal computer picture plane is transferred and displayed as it is.

    摘要: When an L*a*b* value of a certain color is outside a target color gamut to be converted, it is judged whether the L*a*b* value is located within the range of the color gamut set under a predetermined condition. This set range is a range in which the accuracy is degraded if colors are converted using only a first method, for example, a range in the neighborhood of the color gamut. If a color to be converted is located within the range, colors are converted using a second method. If the L*a*b* value of the color to be converted is outside of the set range, it is converted using the first method until the conversion result is contained within the range Then, the occurrence of both a problem which the first conversion method has for colors in the neighborhood of the color gamut when colors are converted and a problem which the second method has in the conversion of a color far from the color gamut can be suppressed.

    摘要: In measuring a spectral irradiance distribution of light, light is irradiated to n (natural number) light-transit sections, which respectively have n kinds of given optical characteristic coefficients, and s (natural number) optical sensors, which respectively have s kinds of given spectral sensitivities, receive the light via the n light-transit sections and detects individual responses for the received light. Then a calculating section calculates m (natural number) spectral irradiances for m kinds of wavelengths as a spectral irradiance distribution based on linear formulae established between the optical characteristic coefficients, the spectral sensitivities, (n×s) responses for the light obtained by the s optical sensors, and the spectral irradiance distribution of the light.

    摘要: A data compression system is provided having a fixed length coding unit provided before a universal coding unit. The fixed length coding unit detects mode classifications and mode conditions of changing picture elements in a mode detecting unit. Then, the mode classifications and mode conditions are converted to fixed length code words in a code transforming unit representative of, e.g., MH, MR or MMR-type codes. Thereafter, the fixed length code words are predictively coded by the universal coding unit to output compressed data. The present invention is applicable to both character data and picture data. Preferably, the picture data is preprocessed by the fixed length coding unit before both of the character data and picture data are predictively coded by the universal coding unit.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus, such as a laser printer, ink jet printer, or a thermal transfer, which comprises a neural network. The apparatus improves image quality by reducing a zigzag included, e.g., in input image data, reducing the circuit size by reducing the number of bits having small weights for an input combination, and concurrently correcting the size of center, left and right picture elements in a predetermined window. The neural network outputs correction data for the size and position of the center dot in a window in response to an input of dot image data in a window or subdot pattern exposure data for the center dot. Additionally, the neural network uses any of the three values, +1, -1 and 0, for the coefficient of input combination for a hidden layer neuron, e.g., after a teacher pattern is learned. Further, the neural network outputs correction data for 3.times.N subblocks of picture elements obtained by dividing blocks of picture elements in the center, left and right of a window.
