    摘要: A method of forming an organic layer by using a liquid composition comprising a small molecule organic semiconductor material mixed in a ketone solvent. The liquid composition is deposited on a surface to form the organic layer. The ketone solvent may be an aromatic ketone solvent, such as a tetralone solvent. The organic semiconductor material may be cross-linkable to provide a cross-linked organic layer. The method can be used to make organic electronic devices, such as organic light emitting devices. In another aspect, the liquid composition comprises a small molecule organic semiconductor material mixed in an aromatic ether solvent. Also, provided are liquid compositions which can be used to make organic layers.

    摘要: There is provided a method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescence device including a plurality of light-emitting elements. The organic electroluminescence device includes a partition wall layer having a first partition wall layer with openings corresponding to the light-emitting elements and a second partition wall layer which is disposed on the first partition wall layer, the partition wall layer extends so as to follow the gap of the light-emitting elements, and has a groove on the top. The method of manufacturing includes forming the partition wall layer by forming the first partition wall layer and forming the second partition wall layer on the first partition wall layer such that the first partition wall layer is exposed at the bottom of the groove. The first partition wall layer is composed of an inorganic material, and the second partition wall layer is composed of an organic material.

    摘要: The color filter substrate has a functional region which includes a plurality of colored layers and which functions as a color filter selectively transmitting predetermined color light components and a non-functional region other than the functional region. The method includes discharging, onto a substrate, a liquid material, in which coloring materials constituting the colored layers are dissolved or dispersed into a solvent, with a liquid droplet discharge method. In the discharging of the liquid material, the liquid material is discharged onto the functional region and the liquid material or the solvent is discharged onto the non-functional region. The amount of the solvent discharged onto the non-functional region per unit area is larger than the amount of the solvent discharged onto the functional region per unit area.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent device having at least two successive light-emitting layers formed between a pair of electrodes using a liquid phase method includes: forming a first light-emitting layer on a base using the liquid phase method and performing an insolubilization process on the first light-emitting layer; and forming a second light-emitting layer on the first light-emitting layer, on which the insolubilization process has been performed, using the liquid phase method. In the insolubilization process, an insoluble layer that is not soluble in a solvent that dissolves the second light-emitting layer is formed on at least an upper surface of the first light-emitting layer.

    摘要: Display devices such as EL elements or LED elements, or color filters, are provided, wherewith, when forming thin films such as organic semiconductor films or colored resins, there is remarkably little variation in film thickness from pixel to pixel. A method for fabricating thin film elements having banks of a prescribed height and a thin film layer formed by an ink jet method in areas to be coated that are partitioned by those banks is disclosed. Furthermore, banks are formed of an organic material on a bank formation surface configured of an inorganic material, plasma treatment is performed under conditions that the induction gas is fluorine-based and that fluorine is present excessively, and the areas enclosed by the banks subjected to surface treatment are filled with the liquid thin film material to form the thin film layer or layers.
