摘要: The present disclosure provides an additively manufactured resurfacing implant (100) configured for use in a resurfacing surgery in which one or more porous regions (130) are provided at an internal fixation surface of a resurfacing head (110) of the resurfacing implant. In various embodiments, the additively manufactured resurfacing implant comprises one or more substantially nonporous regions that correspond to the resurfacing head and a stem (120) of the resurfacing implant and one or more porous regions that are positioned on an internal surface of the resurfacing head. The present disclosure also provides an intermediate constructions and an additive manufacturing process for forming such a resurfacing implant.

In some embodiments, an acetabular apparatus includes an acetabular cup, a pre-assembled liner and flange construct, and a dual mobility bearing (e.g., a dual articulating femoral head component and insert). In one embodiment, the pre-assembled liner and flange construct may be coupled together by a band coupled to the flanges, the band being arranged and configured to be pressed onto an outer surface of a liner. The pre-assembled liner and flange construct being arranged and configured to accept the dual mobility bearing so that it is freely rotatable relative thereto during use.

As used herein, the phrase “extent of a typical range of motion” describes typical angular displacements of a femur as usually limited by patient anatomy.

摘要: Orthopaedic implants and corresponding instrumentation are disclosed. More particularly, a femoral implant and a corresponding broach are presented for surgically repairing a hip joint. The femoral implant includes an elongated stem configured to be inserted within an intramedullary canal of a patient's femur. The femoral implant configured to maximize “fit” within the intramedullary canal. The orthopedic broach may include differential tooth patterns. For example, the broach may include first, second, and third separate and unique tooth patterns. In use, the various tooth patterns are located in specific locations on the broach to achieve a specific purpose to thereby optimize engagement between the patient's intramedullary canal and the femoral implant. In various embodiments, the broach is specifically matched to mimic the femoral implant, and specifically the teeth (compaction teeth) formed on the proximal region of the broach are matched to the porous coating formed on the implant.
