Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for assigning voice characteristics to a contact information record of a person in a user equipment. According to the method, a communication connection of the user equipment relating to contact information of the contact information record of the person is automatically detected and audio voice data received via the communication connection is automatically captured. Based on the captured audio voice data, voice characteristics are automatically determined and assigned to the contact information record of the person.
Abstract:
Embodiments are directed to automatically unlocking a user device based on proximity to a previously paired accessory. Embodiments include transmitting, by a transmitter of the first device (204), an ultrasound message comprising a personal code exchanged between the first device (204) and a second device (206) in a previous pairing between the first device (204) and the second device (206); receiving, by a receiver of the second device (206), the ultrasound message; determining and initiating storing, by a processor (238) of the second device (206), a timestamp associated with a time the ultrasound message was received by the second device (206); determining, by the processor (238) of the second device (206), the personal code; authenticating, by the processor (238) of the second device (206), the personal code determined from the ultrasound message; and based at least in part on the timestamp, initiating unlocking, by the processor (238) of the second device (206), at least one of the first device (204) or the second device (206).

Abstract:
A digital photograph is processed by receiving a communication related to the digital photograph from an application external to an image storage device that stores the digital photograph. Parameters related to the application are processed. The digital photograph is changed based on the parameters related to the application. Related methods, devices, and/or computer program products are described.
Abstract:
The media production element combines media content from a plurality of streaming electronic devices when they are registered to be within the same streaming event. The media production element can produce a combined live video stream or a combined media production using selections and combinations of the streamed content provided by the multiple electronic devices. A network assistance device can provide feedback to the media production element regarding network conditions for the electronic devices that are registered to an event. Such feedback can prevent bad network connections from affecting the final media production by helping the media production element to decide which data stream to use in the production and when to switch from an electronic device that can be on its way to losing optimum radio conditions.
Abstract:
A method includes performing operations as follows on a processor: establishing communication with a second mobile device using a direct point-to-point wireless protocol, obtaining an audio avatar associated with a user of the second mobile device responsive to establishing communication with the second mobile device, and playing the audio avatar on a speaker system associated with the first mobile device.
Abstract:
The media production element combines media content from a plurality of streaming electronic devices when they are registered to be within the same streaming event. The media production element can produce a combined live video stream or a combined media production using selections and combinations of the streamed content provided by the multiple electronic devices. A network assistance device can receive priority information from the media production element and determine event-coordinated uplink network assistance data based on an event priority assignment corresponding to the event or an individual priority assignment corresponding to a particular device registered to the event with the goal of prioritizing resource allocation to clients/electronic devices that currently are used for the combined media production, and assigning less resources to those that are not currently used or have a lower priority.
Abstract:
An image capturing device may include a recording circuit configured to record multimedia data of a field of view of the image capturing device, a receiving circuit configured to receive a wireless signal from a wireless sensor, a location determining circuit configured to determine, based on the received wireless signal, a location of the wireless sensor, and a storage circuit configured to store data associated with the wireless sensor responsive to a comparison of the determined location of the wireless sensor and the field of view of the image capturing device so as to create an association between the data associated with the wireless sensor and the recorded multimedia data.
Abstract:
A device and method generate a sound masker to mask sound of the ambient environment. More specifically, spectral characteristics of sound in the ambient environment are determined, where the spectral characteristics are determined in terms of auditory excitation patterns. A database of pre-recorded sounds is searched to identify at least one pre-recorded sound that has spectral characteristics corresponding to the spectral characteristics of the sound in the ambient environment. At least a portion of the identified at least one pre-recorded sound is reproduced to mask the sound in the ambient environment.
