Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically modifying the radio state of a user device based on monitored properties of the user device. One or more device properties associated with the power of the user device are monitored to determine a radio state change for the user device based on a triggering event. The triggering event corresponds to the one or more monitored device properties, and based on the determined radio state change for the user device, the radio state of the user device is automatically modified. Based on the modified radio state, information is transmitted to a cell site, the information including modified user device capability information. Based on the modified user device capability information, the user device receives communications from the cell site.

Abstract: A primary wireless access node receives primary power headroom for User Equipment (UE). A secondary wireless access receives secondary power headroom for the UE and transfers the secondary power headroom to the primary wireless access node. The primary wireless access node compares the power primary headroom to the secondary power headroom to determine a primary uplink grant amount and a secondary uplink grant amount for the UE. The primary wireless access node grants primary uplink resources to the UE based on the primary uplink grant amount. The secondary wireless access node grants secondary uplink resources to the UE based on the secondary uplink grant amount. The wireless access nodes receive user data from the UE based on the uplink grant amounts.

Abstract: A wireless User Equipment (UE) executes user applications that have user requirements. The wireless UE wirelessly receives network information that indicates wireless network slices and their individual slice characteristics. The wireless UE compares the user requirements to the slice characteristics and responsively selects one or more of the wireless network slices. The wireless UE generates network signaling that indicates the selected wireless network slices. The wireless UE wirelessly transfers the network signaling.
