    摘要： A filter assembly includes a housing divided into a first chamber and a second chamber. A filter element is disposed in the first chamber, and a conduit is disposed in and opens to the second chamber. A weep hole introduces a backwash liquid from the second chamber into the filter element or the conduit. A differential pressure is then established between the opening in the conduit and the exterior of the filter element to force the backwash liquid through the filter element and thereby clean the filter element and/or strip a precoat layer from the filter element.

    摘要： A filter for subterranean environments includes an inner support member capable of transporting a fluid in an axial direction thereof, a filter body disposed around the inner support member and including a filter medium, and one or more end connectors surrounding the inner support member and each connected to an end of the filter body. Each end connector has a structure such that it can be installed on an inner support member having lengthwise ends with an outer diameter larger than the inner diameter of the end connector. According to one form of the invention, an end connector comprises a plurality of arcuate sections which are combined to surround the inner support member and are immobilized with respect to each other. According to another form of the invention, an end connector comprises a split annulus having two circumferential ends. The annulus can be deformed between an expanded state in which the annulus can be fit over the inner support member and a closed state in which the annulus fits sufficiently closely around the inner support member to be sealed to it. According to another form of the invention, an end connector comprises concentric inner and outer sleeves.

Each of the pleats has a pair of legs with first and second surfaces. The pleats are in a laid-over state in which the first surface of each leg is in intimate contact with the first surface of an adjoining leg and the second surface of each leg is in intimate contact with the second surface of an adjoining leg over substantially the entire height of each leg and over a continuous region extending for at least approximately 50% of the axial length of the filter element. An impervious end cap is connected to the first end surface of the filter element.

    摘要： Fluid treatment arrangements and methods involve a plurality of fluid treatment modules and a core assembly that extends through the plurality of fluid treatment modules. Each fluid treatment module has a feed region, a permeate region, and a fluid treatment medium separating the feed region from the permeate region. The feed region extends along a feed surface of the fluid treatment medium, and the permeate region extends along a permeate surface of the fluid treatment region. Feed fluid is directed along the feed region of each module, and a portion of the feed fluid passes as permeate through the fluid treatment medium, into the permeate region, and then into the core assembly. One or more control mechanisms are fluidly coupled to the permeate region of one or more fluid treatment modules to control a flow parameter in the permeate region of the module.
