摘要: The present invention relates generally to a device and method for preventing the undesired passage of emboli from a venous blood pool to an arterial blood pool. The invention relates especially to a device and method for treating certain cardiac defects, especially patent foramen ovales and other septal defects, through the use of an embolic filtering device capable of instantaneously deterring the passage of emboli from the moment of implantation. The device consists of a frame, and a braided mesh of sufficient dimensions to prevent passage of emboli through the mesh. The device is preferably composed of shape memory allow, such as nitinol, which conforms to the shape and dimension of the defect to be treated.

摘要: A dispenser (10) uses first and second flow controls (70, 73). The flow controls maintain first and second flow ranges independent of diluent pressure within a pressure range, wherein the use solution's concentration is maintained over the pressure range. A third flow control (75) may also be utilized in a third diluent passageway for maintaining a third flow range independent of the diluent pressure within the pressure range. A bypass valve assembly (41) is operatively connected to the third incoming diluent passageway. The bypass valve has a temperature control valve. The temperature control valve having a bypass passageway, wherein additional diluent is added to the use solution, thereby controlling the use solution's concentration.

The first recess accommodates a stanchion to inhibit vegetation from growing around the stanchion. A second plate has a second recess integrated into a second engaging edge of the second plate. The second recess accommodates the stanchion to inhibit vegetation from growing around the stanchion. The second plate engages the first plate when the first plate and the second plate are positioned against the stanchion. In this way each of the first plate and the second plate forms a disk surrounding the stanchion.

摘要: A mounting system for a flat panel display includes a back assembly, a pair of arm assemblies, and a mounting assembly. Back assembly can include a slide plate connected to arm assemblies allowing arm assemblies and mount assembly to be horizontally shifted without the need to remove the mount from the wall and reattach it. Arm assemblies can include substantially hollow arms having removable covers for storing wires connected to display therein. Mounting assembly can include a tilt head that provides a path of rotation about a substantially horizontal axis that extends proximate the center of gravity of the mount and a flat panel display mounted thereon, allowing for easy adjustment and rotation of display, Mounting assembly can also include a pair of brace arms each comprised of two members configured to allow mount assembly to be expanded to mount various sized displays without extending beyond the width of the display.
