摘要: In one embodiment, a method of performing a structured collection protocol by utilizing a collection device comprising a processor may include collecting at least one sample using the collection device. The at least one sample can be associated with biomarker data. A classification can be associated with the at least one sample via the processor. The classification can be based upon an intended use of the at least one sample. Compliance with an adherence criteria for the at least one sample can be determined via the processor. When the at least one sample is not compliant with the adherence criteria, an adherence event can be associated with the at least one sample, and the processor can perform at least one additional task that is based upon the classification associated with the at least one sample.

摘要: A system and method for transferring patient diabetes information into an electronic medical record on a health record system with user validation are disclosed. After testing a patient's blood glucose levels over a period of time with a blood glucose meter which stores the patient diabetes information and the blood glucose levels in a first electronic format record, and after a user transfers the first electronic format record from the blood glucose meter into a diabetes management system on a computer, the invention provides a service which automatically monitors an output folder to determine when an export file containing the patient diabetes information is stored therein and after detection, automatically processes the export file into a default electronic medical report which can be copied into a clipboard utility provided by the computer and pasted into the electronic medical record of the patient on the health record system.

摘要: A method for monitoring blood glucose (bG) levels of a diabetic user. The method may be implemented on a non-transitory computer readable medium adapted to run on a processing subsystem, the processing subsystem forming a portion of a handheld diabetes management device for monitoring the bG levels of a diabetic user and determining a correction bolus to be provided to the user. The method may comprise using a memory to store information in a plurality of different time blocks. The information may include a plurality of differing user defined health events that each include a predetermined associated percentage value set by the user by which a correction bolus calculation will be modified to account for one of an increase or a decrease in insulin associated with each one of the defined health events. The processing subsystem may be used to communicate with the memory and to obtain the information and to calculate therefrom the correction bolus.

摘要: According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a device and method for determining an allowable amount of blood glucose (bG) of a patient is disclosed. The method further includes receiving a current bG measurement, determining a target bG value, and determining a correction delta bG value based on one or more advice history records. The method includes determining a correction meal rise value and determining a maximum allowed bG value based on the target bG value, the correction delta bG value, and the correction meal rise value. The method includes setting the allowable amount of bG value equal to the maximum allowed bG value when the current bG measurement is greater than the target bG value and determining the allowable amount of bG value using the target bG value and the correction delta bG value when the current bG measurement is less than the target bG value.

摘要: A method of providing guidance using a portable hand-held electronic device in administration of a medicine by a patient is provided. The method includes acquiring image data of a first container of a first medicine prescribed to the patient and acquiring image data of a second container of a second medicine prescribed to the patient. The second container is different visually from the first container. The image data of the first container and the second container is stored in memory of the electronic device. On the portable hand-held electronic device, an instruction is processed to administer at least one of the first medicine and the second medicine to the patient. The stored image data is retrieved from memory corresponding to the at least one of the first medicine and the second medicine to be administered in the instruction. The retrieved image data is displayed on a display of the electronic device.
