    摘要: The tissue augment sheet delivery system includes a tube funnel adapter and a tissue augment sheet delivery instrument. The tube funnel adapter includes a oval/conical shaped funnel. The tissue augment sheet delivery instrument includes a handle. A cylindrical tube is connected to the handle. A wire is inserted in the tube. The wire is formed in a large loop with small loops formed in the large loop. A tissue augment sheet is attached to one side of the large loop using a monofilament. In use, the tube funnel adapter is inserted in body. The tissue augment sheet is placed in mouth of the oval/conical shaped funnel and gently moved down. While moving down, the tissue augment sheet conforms to the internal diameter of the tube funnel adapter. The handle is withdrawn to remove the large loop from the body leaving the tissue augment sheet in body.

    摘要: The tissue augment sheet delivery system includes a tube funnel adapter and a tissue augment sheet delivery instrument. The tube funnel adapter includes a oval/conical shaped funnel. The tissue augment sheet delivery instrument includes a handle. A cylindrical tube is connected to the handle. A wire is inserted in the tube.     摘要: A glenoid component includes an oval body having a concave lateral articulating surface and an opposing medial surface with a keel extending from the medial surface. The keel extends along a line which is anteriorly offset from the center line of the concave surface and is not collinear with any radius of the concave surface. New methods and tools are provided for the implantation of the glenoid component. Sizer drill guides are provided with an alignment arm which assures that the anterior/posterior angle of the pilot hole is approximately 65 degrees. An improved reamer tool is provided which allows the practitioner to attach a reamer head of selected size to the reamer rather than choosing among several reamers of different size at the time of the procedure. A new keel drill guide is provided which locates three drill guide holes in a plane which is offset approximately 2 mm anterior of the pilot hole. A new broach tool is provided for connecting the three holes and form a triangular or trapezoidal cavity for the keel. Methods for installing the glenoid component and using the tools are also disclosed.

    摘要: The present invention relates to systems and methods for preparing the trochlear groove of a patient's femur to receive a prosthesis thereon. In the system, a combination drill-and-alignment guide includes at least a proximal and intermediate section, and preferably also includes a distal section. Guide holes for receiving guide pins therein are located in the proximal and distal sections of the guide. After the guide is positioned using at least one of several visual and/or tactile references in the system, the guides pins are placed through the guide holes of the guide and into bone. The guide may then be removed and replaced by cannulated reamers that are rotated and used to resect a predetermined amount of bone around the guide pins. A prosthesis having at least a portion of an outer surface that substantially matches the trochlear groove of the patient in a pre-degenerated state is then implanted on the resected bone.
