摘要: A tissue-removing catheter for removing tissue in a body lumen includes an elongate body and a tissue-removing element mounted on a distal end portion of the elongate body. The tissue-removing element is configured to remove the tissue as the tissue-removing element is rotated by the elongate body within the body lumen. An inner liner is received within the elongate body. The inner liner defines a guidewire lumen. The inner liner isolates an interior of the guidewire lumen from the elongate body and tissue-removing element such that rotational forces are not transferred from the elongate body and tissue-removing element to the interior of the guidewire lumen when the elongate body and tissue-removing element are rotated during removal of tissue from the body lumen.

摘要: A surgical incision apparatus and method for puncturing a cutaneous layer of a subject for providing guided access to a subcutaneous organ or subcutaneous cavity (or specified target region) of the subject. The apparatus may include a retention body configured for securing a cutting tool therein and a housing configured for receiving the retention body. The apparatus includes a guidewire holder member configured for receiving a guidewire therein and aligning with the guidewire to allow the cutting tool to travel along the guidewire. The retention body is configured to be movably attached relative to the housing to allow the retention body and cutting tool to advance toward the subject to a deployed position, and subsequently withdraw to a retracted position.

摘要: A retainer for assembling tissue thickness compensators to a surgical stapler can comprise a grip, a first surface for supporting a first tissue thickness compensator, a second surface for supporting a second tissue thickness compensator, and clips for aligning and attaching the retainer to the surgical stapler. The clips may align and attach the retainer to a staple cartridge of the surgical instrument. The clips may align the retainer with an anvil of the surgical instrument. An insertion tool may be used in combination with the retainer to insert the retainer into the surgical stapler and to push the tissue thickness compensators against the anvil and/or the staple cartridge of the surgical instrument.

The cassette further has one or more needles guided by the base and the cover. A surgical suturing device is also disclosed for use with a cassette. The suturing device has a cassette receiver and one or more needle drivers, each needle driver having a needle receiver positioned within the cassette receiver.

摘要: An endoluminal punch and introducer sheath are described wherein the endoluminal punch comprises a guidewire lumen through which a user is capable of placing a guidewire. The endoluminal punch system further comprises a mechanism affixed to the hub which is capable of controlling the axial positioning of the guidewire relative to the endoluminal punch distal end. The control mechanism can be released so that the endoluminal punch can be removed from a patient while retaining the guidewire in place within the patient. The endoluminal punch introducer, including a sheath and dilator, can comprise energy emitting electrodes or transducers for cutting larger size holes in stubborn (friable, scarred, or fibrotic) tissue. In other embodiments, the endoluminal punch can comprise a guidewire or stylet, wherein the guidewire or stylet is capable of emitting energy to cut through tissue.
