    摘要: Aspects are disclosed for facilitating a hand-in to a femto cell. An identifier is assigned to a femto cell in which the identifier is based on a scrambling parameter and a timing parameter. A relationship between the identifier and the femto cell is then communicated. In another embodiment, a user equipment report is received, which includes attributes related to a signal broadcast by a femto cell. An identifier associated with the femto cell is ascertained from an attribute included in the report. The femto cell is then identified based on the identifier. In a further embodiment, a timing parameter is received, and a scrambling parameter is set. A signal including the scrambling parameter is then broadcast according to an offset related to the timing parameter. In yet another embodiment, a femto cell is detected during an active call. An identifier associated with the femto cell is then ascertained and reported.

One method comprises storing a first group association of femto cells, using common characteristic (e.g. a Closed Subscriber Group ID), storing a second group association among access terminals (e.g. defining which access terminals belong to which Closed Subscriber Group), and authorizing access to an access terminal to all of the femto cell components belonging to the first group. The access terminal may receive pages from any or all of the femto cells belonging to the group. Residential and enterprise deployments may be co-located.

    摘要: Techniques for reliable transmission of higher priority data within a frame are disclosed. In one aspect, an inner code is applied to one or more partial segments of a transmitted data frame in addition to any outer code applied to the entire frame. In another aspect, inner coded segments of a received frame are decoded when decoding of the outer code indicates one or more errors within the frame. The inner coded segment is retained when the inner decoding decodes without error. Various other aspects are also disclosed. These aspects have the benefits of reducing the number of retransmissions of higher priority data, as well as reducing delay for time-sensitive segments of the frame. The result is more efficient use of bandwidth, more responsiveness to higher priority segments, such as signaling traffic, and capacity, power, and other efficiencies associated therewith.

    摘要: Techniques for supporting handoff of a terminal between base stations of different protocol revisions (P_REVs) in a CDMA system. One technique includes performing a handoff of the terminal from a first base station to a second base station. The handoff is performed while the terminal is in an active call using a first service configuration with the first base station. The first base station supports a first protocol revision and the second base station supports a second protocol revision that is later than the first protocol revision. A first message is sent indicative of a change in packet zone. A request is received to originate a new call with a second service configuration. The new call is maintained with the second service configuration between the terminal and the second base station.
