    Abstract: A heavy duty pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion provided with circumferentially continuously extending main grooves and axial grooves connecting between the main grooves to form blocks. The main grooves include a zigzag crown main groove disposed on each side of the tire equator, and a zigzag shoulder main groove disposed axially outside each crown main groove, wherein the groove width of the crown main groove is less than the groove width of the shoulder main groove. The axial grooves include crown axial grooves circumferentially dividing crown blocks disposed between the crown main grooves and each having a substantially hexagonal tread, and middle axial grooves circumferentially dividing middle blocks disposed between each crown main groove and the adjacent shoulder main groove and each having a substantially hexagonal tread, wherein the groove width of the middle axial grooves is more than the groove width of the crown axial grooves.

    Abstract: A tire includes a tread portion provided with a plurality of blocks. At least one of the plurality of blocks is provided with a sipe. The sipe extends in a sipe longitudinal direction to form a zigzag opening configuration on a ground contact surface of the at least one of the plurality of blocks. The sipe extends inwardly in a tire radial direction such that the zigzag opening configuration oscillates in the sipe longitudinal direction repeatedly with a total amplitude and a wavelength while maintaining the zigzag opening configuration. A half of the wavelength of the sipe is in a range of from 0.10 to 0.24 times a maximum depth of the sipe, and a slope of the half of the wavelength with respect to the total amplitude has an angle in a range of from 45 to 65 degrees.

    Abstract: A heavy duty pneumatic tire 1 comprises a tread portion 2 provided with a crown land portion 6 formed between a center main groove 3 and a middle main groove 4 and having an axial width varying periodically in the tire circumferential direction. The center main groove 3 comprises first oblique groove segments 3A inclined with respect to the tire circumferential direction to one axial direction at an angle, and second oblique groove segments 3B inclined with respect to the tire circumferential direction to the other axial direction at an angle less than the angle of the first oblique groove segments. The crown land portion 6 is divided into hexagonal crown blocks 11 by crown lateral grooves 9 extending between axially inwardly protruding zigzag vertex portions of the center main groove 3 and axially outwardly protruding zigzag vertex portions of the middle main groove 4. The crown lateral grooves 9 and the first oblique groove segments 3A are inclined with respect to the tire axial direction to one circumferential direction.

In the main groove (3), the width (W1) between the first groove walls (3B) is 2.0 to 20.0 mm at a tread surface (S), and the depth (D) from the tread surface (S) to the first groove bottom (3A) is 10.0 mm or more. In the first wall (3B), the ratio (W1/α) of the angle (α) [degree] with respect to a normal direction to the tread surface (S) and the width (W1) [mm] is in a range of 1.0 to 2.0 [mm/degree].
