摘要： A method of controlling a microwave oven, in which the microwave oven includes a cooking chamber for containing food therein, a cooling fan which circulates air, a magnetron which generates microwaves and a humidity sensor which senses humidity of the cooking chamber. Cooking instruction(s) may be preset or set manually by a user. A first cooking operation is performed while preventing water from boiling off/to overflow by controlling an output power of the magnetron according to the set cooking instruction(s). A time required to perform a later cooking is set according to a time required to perform the first cooking operation. A second cooking operation is performed for the later cook time while controlling the output power of the magnetron to reduce the overall cook time of the food.

摘要： A microwave oven comprises a magnetron having an anode, a cathode and a filament, and a high voltage transformer having a primary coil and a secondary coil for supplying a high voltage to the magnetron. The microwave oven further comprises a capacitor connected in parallel to the secondary coil of the high voltage transformer, forming a resonance circuit with the secondary coil. With this configuration, the performance of the magnetron is maintained by lowering the anode peak voltage applied thereto during the early non-oscillating period, and the circuit elements are protected from damage by removing the surge voltage.

The present invention also provides a cooking apparatus, which allows food to be rapidly heated and cooked using a heat source installed in an electric heating plate, thus shortening cooking time and reducing power consumption. The present invention is also designed such that the electric heating plate is removable from a cabinet, thus allowing the electric heating plate to be conveniently cleaned.

摘要： A modular grill cooker that is easily installed in a multipurpose cooking apparatus, including an outer casing and an inner casing set in the outer casing. A heating unit is mounted to a heat reflecting plate fastened to the inner casing. A grilling unit is seated on a frame provided along upper edges of the inner and outer casings. An elastic piece is fitted over a projection on a back surface of the heating unit to mount the heating unit to the heat reflecting plate. A grease collecting unit is set in the inner casing to collect grease therein and reflect heat onto the grilling unit. First and second contact terminals are respectively provided on the outer casing and on the multipurpose cooking apparatus to supply electricity to the heating unit when the grill cooker is installed in the multipurpose cooking apparatus.

The grilling unit includes a grilling pipe having an inlet and an outlet. The air cooling unit includes a blowing fan and an air discharging pipe. The connection member has a tapered hole. The inlet of the grilling pipe is connected to an upper portion of the tapered hole, and the air discharging pipe is connected to a lower end of the tapered hole. The grill cooker is removably set in a recess in an upper portion of the multipurpose cooking apparatus.
