Provided are a power supply device and a method of controlling the same. The power supply device includes: a power factor corrector which corrects a power factor of an initial power; a standby power supply unit which is connected to the power factor corrector, the standby power supply unit including a transformer which converts an input power received from the power factor corrector to a predetermined level of a standby power and comprises first and second coils; a sensor which is coupled to the second coil of the transformer and detects a level of an induced power corresponding to the input power; and a power supply controller which determines whether the level of the induced power exceeds a critical value when a system-on signal is received, activates the power factor corrector to correct the power factor of the initial power if the level of the induced power exceeds the critical value, and supplies a driving power to the system based on the level of the induced power detected after the power factor corrector is activated.

The apparatus for supplying multi-output power includes a an input power unit which generates an LLC resonance signal using direct current (DC) power, a main output power unit which outputs a main voltage induced by the LLC resonance signal, a plurality of output power units which output secondary voltages induced by the LLC resonance signal at different level of voltages, and a first output power unit of the plurality of output power units outputs a respective one of the secondary voltages induced by the LLC resonance signal at a predetermined level of voltage using a different one of the secondary voltages output from a second output power unit of the plurality of output power units.

The power supply includes an input power unit which generates an LLC resonance signal using DC power, a primary output power unit which outputs a first output voltage based on a first voltage induced in response to the LLC resonance signal, a secondary output power unit which outputs a second output voltage based on a second voltage induced in response to the LLC resonance signal, and a power control unit which controls the input power unit to change the LLC resonance signal so that the first output voltage has a preset level, and controls the secondary output power unit so that the second output voltage has a preset level irrespective of a change in a level of the first output voltage.

The display apparatus includes a signal receiver which receives a video signal; a signal processor which processes the video signal; a display unit which displays an image based on a video signal processed by the signal processor; and a power supply which converts an alternating current (AC) voltage into a direct current (DC) voltage and supplies an operation voltage to the display unit, the power supply including: a power factor correction (PFC) unit which adjusts the DC voltage and corrects a power factor of the power supply; a detector which detects a plurality of voltages in the power supply and outputs a common detection signal indicating whether at least one of the plurality of voltages is abnormal; and a controller which receives the common detection signal, and controls the PFC unit based on the common detection signal.
