摘要: A system and method for handling wicket bags involve a wicket bag holder for transporting wicket bags to a working position along a transport path, the bag holder including one or more holding devices each being operable between an open position allowing receipt of an upper tab of the wicket bag and a closed position whereby the bag is held suspended within a working zone. Also involved are one or more main gripping devices each being operable between an open position allowing receipt of a suspended wicket bag and a closed position whereby the bag is gripped to form a bag neck portion. The system and method may be used for bag filling applications.

摘要: An apparatus for reversing flow of partially evaporated maple syrup in at least one evaporating pan includes a transfer line having an inlet for connected to a heating and pan for receiving partially evaporated maple syrup from the heating pan. A first sub-line extends from the transfer line and can connect to a first port of the evaporating pan(s). A second sub-line extends from the transfer line and can connected to a second port of the evaporating pan(s). A first outlet line extends from the transfer line or the first sub-line. A second outlet line extends from the transfer line or the second sub-line. When the first and second sub-lines are connected to the first and second ports respectively, the transfer line is positioned at a height no higher than the heights of the first and second ports. The first and second outlet lines are positioned at a height no higher than the transfer line. When fluid exits the evaporating pan(s) via the first or second ports, the fluid reaches the first or second outlet lines prior to reaching the transfer line.

摘要: A swimming pool heater that heats a private swimming pool and can be used to provide heating for a house, a cottage or a commercial swimming pool. Wood, that is often found around pools, is used as primary fuel. This oven has a cylindrical external appearance and is disposed horizontally. It is made of an interior wall and an exterior wall in between which water circulates. The interior wall plays the role of fire chamber and heat exchanger; the section having the shape of an annular zig-zag offers more surface for heat exchange than a simple cylinder thus increasing the overall heater efficiency. The left-over ashes insulate the bottom of the heating chamber replacing often used tiles. For general use, logs and branches are used as fuel, and an increase of 20 to 30 degrees F. of the water of a typical garden pool is attained overnight.

摘要: Processes for the batch production of rubber-based compositions capable of being shaped and shaped articles made thereof. They include a step of high intensity mixing cured rubber particles with other selected compounds into a closed mixing chamber provided on a high intensity mixer including a central shaft having mixing blades. Through high speed rotation of the shaft, blade tip speed above about 20 meter/s are obtained to intensively mix and thermokinetically heat the batch of mixable material, whose temperature is continuously monitored. Discharge of the batch from the mixing chamber takes place when the temperature is considered to have reached a reference value ensuring a substantially uniform mix of the rubber material and added compounds, to produce the rubber-based composition. According to a first preferred embodiment, cured rubber is fed into the mixing chamber with a resinous material, and discharge occurs at a temperature ensuring a substantially uniform mix of the rubber material in a matrix of resinous material to produce the rubber-based composition, which can be then shaped without any further heating. According to a second preferred embodiment, a curing agent is added to the cured rubber particles, and the batch is discharged from the mixing chamber when the temperature reaches a reference value ensuring a substantially uniform mix of the cured rubber material with the curing agent without causing a significant further curing, to produce a rubber-based composition capable of being heat-shaped. Other preferred embodiments using a reactive polymeric binding agent and a bonding agent are described.
