摘要: The present invention provides a method of substantially retaining or otherwise preserving the biological activity of a dsRNA, present in a cell, to post-transcriptionally silence the expression of a gene in a target organism, comprising the step of adding to the cell composition a compound having the function of a protein—or amine—cross linking agent and/or an acid. The invention also comprises compositions comprising the cells comprising dsRNA, and protein cross linking agents and/or acids, as well as the use of said cross linking agents and/or acids in the method.

摘要: A dispersion comprising (a) a continuous liquid phase; and (b) a solid phase of epoxy-polymer particles dispersed in the continuous liquid phase; where the polymer is formed from monomers that are insoluble in the continuous phase; a chemical agent is present within the polymer particles; and the dispersion is not a Pickering dispersion; and optionally the polymer molecules that form the polymer particles contain hydrophilic groups that hydrate on exposure to water in a manner that renders the particles permeable and that allows the chemical agent to diffuse out, and optionally at least one non-cross-linkable mobile chemical such that the extraction of this chemical from the dispersed phase renders it porous in a manner that allows the chemical agent to diffuse out. In one aspect, the chemical agent is a solid and is distributed within the dispersed solid phase or is a liquid and is distributed within the dispersed solid phase. When the chemical agent is an agricultural active ingredient, the compositions of the invention can be used directly or with dilution to combat pests or as plant growth regulators.

摘要: Stabilized liquid agrochemical compositions are provided that comprise flowable, aqueous dispersion concentrates comprising a) a continuous aqueous liquid phase; b) at least one dispersed, solid phase comprising a dispersion of polymer particles having a mean particle size of at least one micron, wherein the outside surfaces of the particles comprise a colloidal solid material and wherein the particles have at least one agrochemically active ingredient distributed therein, optionally a non-porous particulate mineral that acts as a diffusion barrier to slow the release of the active ingredient, and optionally at least one non-cross-linkable mobile chemical such that the extraction of this chemical from the disperse phase renders it porous in a manner that allows the active ingredient to diffuse out. The colloidal solid is used to stabilize the polymerizable resin in an emulsion state during preparation. In one embodiment, the agrochemically active ingredient is a solid and is distributed within the dispersed solid phase or is a liquid and is distributed within the dispersed solid phase. The compositions of the invention can be used directly or with dilution to combat pests or as plant growth regulators.

摘要: Provided here are methods of using a mutated patatin-like phospholipase IIα (“pPLAIIα,” renamed here MATRILINEAL) to induce haploid induction in plants, cloning a pPLAIIα to induce haploid induction in plants, and genetically engineering a plant to contain a mutated pPLAIIα. Also provided are methods of applying topical and spray chemicals, lipids, and RNAi molecules to plants during pollination in order to induce haploid production. Further provided are methods of chemically treating plants during pollination to induce haploids while also reducing embryo abortion and increasing seed set.
