Abstract: Since the magnetic sheet is adopted as the coil component, magnetic saturation is likely to occur in the magnetic sheet, and it is considered that the DC superimposition characteristic of the coil component is deteriorated. However, since the inner edge of the coil structure backs down with respect to the inner edge of the magnetic sheet so that the magnetic flux generated in the coil easily circulates, the deterioration of the DC superimposition characteristics due to the adoption of the magnetic sheet is suppressed.

Abstract: In a coil component, a non-magnetic part is bridged between a first coil and a second coil in a cross section of an element body. Therefore, a magnetic flux in a direction along a magnetic core of the first coil and a magnetic core of the second coil is hindered by the non-magnetic part between the first coil and the second coil. Accordingly, a magnetic flux of the first coil and a magnetic flux of the second coil are difficult to interfere with each other.

Abstract: In a multilayer coil component, even when both pairs of ends of a first coil part and a second coil part are located at the same positions when viewed from the laminated direction and have the same shapes, a connecting part is connected only to a second end of the first coil part on the upper side in the laminated direction, and is connected only to a first end of the second coil part on the lower side in the laminated direction. Thus, a coil wound around along the laminated direction is structured without misaligning the positions of respective connecting parts. Consequently, the entire shapes of the respective coil parts can be designed to be the exact same shape, which makes it possible to reduce the number of types of coil part, saving labor and time for preparing many types of conductor patterns like the conventional type.

Abstract: Since each of an inner core, an outer core portion, and exterior portions in an element body is constituted by a magnetic body having the same material composition, internal stress is less likely to occur at the interface therebetween, and cracks due to internal stress are less likely to occur at the interface. Since a filling rate of a maximum magnetic particle having relatively high magnetic permeability is high in the inner core, the magnetic permeability of the inner core is significantly increased, and the coil characteristics of the coil component are improved.

Abstract: In a coil component, a second magnetic portion disposed in the vicinity of a coil is designed to have a higher proportion of Fe than a metal magnetic powder-containing resin constituting a first magnetic portion. Therefore, a magnetic flux of the coil flows smoothly. Although the second magnetic portion has a relatively lower withstand voltage than the first magnetic portion, since the second magnetic portion is surrounded by the first magnetic portion, it is not exposed on an outer surface of a magnetic body. For this reason, a situation in which the coil and external terminal electrodes are short-circuited with the second magnetic portion therebetween is effectively curbed, and short-circuiting between the coil and the external terminal electrodes can be curbed.
