Abstract: A method implemented in an access and mobility management function, AMF, node that implements at least one congestion control process is provided. A message including a first indication that the message is exempt from the at least one congestion control process is received by a UE. The message is forwarded to the SMF either with the exempt indication or, if this is missing, an indication that the AMF applies a congestion control. The SMF, only when receiving the forwarded message with the additional information inserted by the AMF, carries out a validation of the message of the UE, thus preventing that a UE tags a message to be exempted from congestion control, when it should be not be exempt.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for session management. A method comprises receiving from a user equipment (UE) a request for establishing another session to a data network identified by a data network identification. At least one existing session of the UE has been established to the data network. The method further comprises checking whether the subscription data or the policy data for the UE includes a first indication which indicates that a same session management node for multiple sessions to the data network identified by the same data network identification is required. The method further comprises selecting the same session management node as the at least one existing session for the UE when the subscription data or the policy data includes the first indication. The method further comprises sending a session establishment request to the selected session management node.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and an apparatus for allocating a PDU session ID for a terminal device. The method comprises: selecting (S101), for a terminal device, a protocol data unit session identity, PDU session ID, from a group of PDU session IDs. The group of PDU session IDs are not allocated to the terminal device. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the network node may select, for the terminal device, a PDU session ID from a group of PDU session IDs, which are not allocated to the terminal device yet. Thus, any newly selected PDU session ID may be ensured as unique.

Abstract: A method of operation of a SMF in a 5GC, for synchronizing the GBR QoS flows with the UE is provided. The method comprises initiating deactivation of one or more GBR/non-GBR (not associated to a default QoS Rule), QoS flows of a PDU session in the 5GC and in the UE and upon determining that a response to the deactivation is not received from the UE, deferring, by the SMF, the deactivation of the one or more GBR/non-GBR QoS flows with the UE and marking the GBR/Non-GBR QoS flows as to be synchronized when either UP reactivation is received or UE reachability notification is received or upon a synchronization timer set by the SMF has expired. The GBR/non-GBR QoS Flows may also be locally deactivated at the UE, in which case a method in the UE to synchronize the GBR/non-GBR QoS flows with the 5GC is provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for signaling QoS Flow control parameters, and corresponding NF entities. The method comprises generating one or more data flow rules associated with a QoS Flow and a QoS Flow profile. The data flow rules include parameters specific to a data flow that belongs to the QoS Flow, while the QoS Flow profile includes parameters that are common to all data flows that belong to the same QoS Flow. The present disclosure further discloses a corresponding method of receiving the QoS Flow control parameters. The present disclosure further provides corresponding computer readable medium.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for a relay entity to provide a user ID of a remote UE under privacy protection to a first Network Function (NF) in a network, wherein connectivity between the remote UE and the network is provided by the relay entity, comprising obtaining contact information of a second NF and a private ID corresponding to the user ID from the second NF, wherein the contact information can be used by the first NF to contact the second NF to resolve the user ID based on the private ID; and sending the contact information and the private ID to the first NF. Corresponding methods for the remote UE, the first NF and the second NF are also provided. The corresponding apparatus, system, device, computer-readable storage and carrier, etc. thereof are also provided.
