    摘要： An electrical connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1), a plurality of contacts (2), a metal shell (3) enclosing the housing (1) to form a mating opening (110) and a mounting plate (4) covering the metal shell (3). The housing (1) has a base portion (10) having a retaining groove (121) and a tongue (11) extending forwardly from the base portion (10). The mounting plate (4) includes a pressing plate, a vertical tab (431) extending from a rear edge of the pressing plate (41) and fastened in the retaining groove (121) and at least a pressing arm (451) extending downwardly through the metal shell into the mating opening (110). When the electrical connector (100) mates with a mating connector (200), the pressing plate (41) is upwardly forced and the mounting plate deflects upwardly and brings the pressing arm (451) to leave the mating opening (110).

    摘要： A plug connector (100) comprises an insulative housing (1), a plurality of terminals (2) retained to the insulative housing (1), a pair of latches (3) fit to the insulative housing (1) and a housing cover (4) attached to the insulative housing (1). The insulative housing (1) has a base portion (11) and a tongue portion (12) extending forwardly from a middle of the base portion (11). The terminals (2) are arranged on the tongue portion (12) in parallel. The housing cover (4) has a cylindrical portion (41) with a pair of slits (411) extending therethrough for the latch (3) partly extending through. Each latch (3) has a locking piece (31) provided with a front straight edge (311) to abut against with a front edge of a receptacle connector (900) when the plug connector (100) is inserted upside down to the receptacle (900).

    摘要： An electrical connector assembly comprises a first connector unit and a second connector. The first connector unit comprises a first connector having an insulative housing with a plurality of contacts mounted thereon. A printed circuit board, on which the first connector is seated, defines a pair of mounting sections at opposite ends thereof and locate adjacent to the first connector. An insulative cover is attached to a first surface of the printed circuit board which is opposite to the first connector. The insulative cover forms a pair of guiding posts retained in said mounting sections and a pair of stand-off sections located at opposite ends thereof for supporting the first connector during the mating process. A metallic cover is attached to the insulative cover. The second connector defines a pair of guiding apertures at opposite ends thereof for receiving said guiding posts.

    摘要： A receptacle connector includes an insulative housing defining a base with a mating tongue. A plurality of contacts are disposed in the housing with contacting sections exposed on the mating tongue. A metallic shell is assembled to the housing and defines a mating cavity into which the mating tongue extends. A plurality of spring tangs are formed on the shell and extend into the mating cavity for retainable abutment against the inserted plug. A dome switch is located outside of the shell and intimately confronts the corresponding spring tang so as to be activated when the corresponding spring tang is outwardly deflected by the inserted plug. An addition detect pin is electrically connected to the dome switch when the dome switch is activated to verify whether the plug is inserted in the mating cavity or to identify whether a high power is required.

    摘要： An electrical connector, adapted for mounting to a mother board and mating with a plug, includes an insulative housing with a mating tongue forwardly extending therefrom, a plurality of contacts disposed in the housing with contacting sections exposed on the mating tongue and a metallic shell covering the housing. The metallic shell defines a mating cavity surrounding the mating tongue and has a plurality of spring tangs extending into the mating cavity. A detect member is assembled to a bottom of the electrical connector, and includes a printed circuit board with some dome switches under corresponding spring tang and some additional detection pins electrically connecting the dome switches. When the plug is inserted, the spring tangs will deflect downwardly and activate the dome switch.
