Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of monochromatic stereoscopic image projectors including two light sources that illuminate two imagers, the radiation of the two light sources having a spectral distribution centred on a central wavelength, the first imager and the second imager being connected to a generator of stereoscopic image pairs. The image projector includes a dichroic separating filter that transmits the portion of the spectrum below the central wavelength and that reflects the portion of the spectrum above this central wavelength. The first light source and the second light source are arranged symmetrically on either side of the dichroic separating filter. The image projector operates cyclically, each cycle including two alternations. Each alternation consists in changing the emission source and in switching to the two displays the left and right images emitted by the generator of image pairs.
Abstract:
Visual display systems are described having means for generating stereoscopic images, a device for visual display of said stereoscopic images having a projector and a semitransparent screen; and a pair of stereoscopic spectacles. The projector according to the invention has an imager and an interference filter, the spectral transmission of which has at least one transmission band of determined width centred around a wavelength, said wavelength being dependent on the incidence of the light on said interference filter. The projector has means allowing the angular position of the filter to be varied between two determined positions so as to transmit, according to the position, either a first spectral band or a second spectral band. The pair of stereoscopic spectacles has a first lens transmitting the first spectral band and blocking the second spectral band and a second lens providing the opposite function.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of display systems comprising an image projector and an associated display screen, the said display system being designed to be used by an observer situated at a given location, the said display screen comprising two transparent and substantially parallel faces, the said display screen comprising, on at least one of its transparent faces, a plurality of regularly distributed light-scattering patterns. The image projector according to the invention illuminating the screen under a plurality of angles of incidence determined by the position and the size of the display screen, the said angles of incidence being centred on a mean angle of incidence, the scattering patterns comprise a diffractive structure in order to diffract the light rays having at least the mean angle of incidence in one or more directions corresponding to the said given location of the observer.
