Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of display systems comprising means for generating graphic symbols and an associated semitransparent display device. The display device according to the invention has two overlaid semitransparent flat display screens, one passive and the other active, each symbol displayed on the semitransparent display device comprising a first representation and a second representation. The first representation is displayed on the first display screen with a low transmission rate for the light and with a predetermined first size. The second representation is displayed on the second display screen in the same place as the first representation, with a luminance and a predetermined second size that is smaller than the first size so that the second representation is overlaid on the first representation and the displayed symbol appears bright with a dark border.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of display systems comprising an electronic calculator containing first image generation means and an associated semi-transparent display device, said display device intended to be arranged in front of an outside landscape. The display device according to the invention consists of two overlaid semi-transparent flat display screens, a photo-sensitive sensor and a position detection system. The first display screen is passive, its transmission rate being controlled by the first image generation means, the second display screen is active, its light emission being controlled by the first image generation means. The image generated is displayed either on the first display screen, or on the second display screen as a function of the outside landscape luminance information output by the photo-sensitive sensor and the position detection.
Abstract:
Visual display systems are described having means for generating stereoscopic images, a device for visual display of said stereoscopic images having a projector and a semitransparent screen; and a pair of stereoscopic spectacles. The projector according to the invention has an imager and an interference filter, the spectral transmission of which has at least one transmission band of determined width centred around a wavelength, said wavelength being dependent on the incidence of the light on said interference filter. The projector has means allowing the angular position of the filter to be varied between two determined positions so as to transmit, according to the position, either a first spectral band or a second spectral band. The pair of stereoscopic spectacles has a first lens transmitting the first spectral band and blocking the second spectral band and a second lens providing the opposite function.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of heads-up display systems comprising at least one display and one optical guide comprising a first image guide comprising a plurality of first internal semi-reflecting plates, inclined with respect to a first plane. The heads-up display system according to the invention comprises: an oculometer designed to detect the position of the pupil of the eye of an observer; at least one of the said first plates comprising a processing with programmable reflectivity, the said reflectivity depending on the position and/or of the orientation of the ocular pupil detected by the oculometer, in such a manner as to reflect the image of the display towards the said pupil and only towards the latter. The display system can comprise a second image guide perpendicular to the first.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of display devices comprising at least one image projector comprising an image generator, projecting optics and a display screen, the image of said image generator being projected by the projecting optics onto said display screen. The display device according to the invention comprises means allowing the degree of optical transmission and the degree of optical scattering of said display screen to be controlled so as to make it completely transparent or completely scattering, the image being projected only in the latter case.
