Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a controller, a signal from each load cell of a plurality of load cells coupled to an aircraft cargo roller panel of an aircraft. Each signal is indicative of a load experienced by the load cell when cargo is on the aircraft cargo roller panel. The method also includes determining, based on the signals, a weight of the cargo, a center of gravity of the cargo, or both.

Abstract: A fire detection system includes a heat detector controller and a multiplicity of heat detectors. The heat detectors are positioned at predetermined locations along a ceiling of a cargo compartment and/or on an exterior side of a cargo compartment liner from an interior of the cargo compartment. Each of the multiplicity of heat detectors are configured to measure temperature and to transmit temperature measurements to the heat detector controller. The heat detector controller is configured to determine that a fire has breached the cargo compartment liner based on the temperature measurements.

Abstract: A system and method for identifying tie down restraint locations in a cargo compartment or other storage area is disclosed. The system includes labeling or otherwise highlighting the tie down locations on a floor where the cargo is to be secured. The labeling is based on a reference coordinate system that is associated with a tie down plan. Additionally or alternatively, a tie down locator device is mounted above the floor that highlights or otherwise illuminates a tie down location. As a cargo handler completes a connection, the device highlights the next tie down location.
