Abstract: A high-precision digital-to-analog converter, manufactured by the technique of monolithic integrated circuits, uses integrated resistors formed by ion implantation. The resistors are arranged in a series of ladder networks, the steps of each ladder corresponding to predetermined binary digits of a logical information. Fuses interconnect different steps of different ladders; they can be melted by passing an overload current through them. Their elimination in suitable locations facilitates an adjustment of the converter.
