Abstract: A vehicle airbag device includes: an airbag; a gas generator which supplies an inflation gas to the airbag; and a wrapping material, which covers a periphery of an airbag assembly including the airbag and the gas generator, including: a combining part which is formed of a sheet material and combines both edges, which are overlapped with each other, of the sheet material in a length direction; an engagement part which is formed in parallel with the combining part in a width direction of the sheet material and is engaged in the gas generator; and a notch portion formed between the combining part and the engagement part in each of the both edges, wherein a position of a deepest part of the notch portion in the length direction of the sheet material is the same as that of the combining part, or is set outside from the combining part.

Abstract: A side airbag system includes: an airbag; and a wrapping material that is disposed around a folded-up airbag body into which the airbag is folded so as to prevent the collapse of neatly arranged folds of the folded-up airbag body, the folded-up airbag body being configured as an elongated body having an external shape that is disposed so that a longitudinal direction thereof substantially follows an up-to-down direction, wherein: the wrapping material is disposed so as to wrap around the folded-up airbag body, including a brake planned portion capable of breaking when the airbag inflates which is provided on a front surface side of the folded-up airbag body so as to substantially follow the up-to-down direction; and the break planned portion comprises a low-strength portion where a break strength thereof is set low and a high-strength portion where the break strength is set high.

Abstract: The far side airbag system has an airbag which is deployed and inflated between adjacent vehicle seats arranged side-by-side in the width direction when an impact is detected against one of a pair of side wall portions of the vehicle. The airbag includes an upper inflation portion having a portion deployed and inflated on a lateral side of a head portion of an occupant seated in the vehicle seat on a side farther from the specific side wall portion, and a lower inflation portion in which a portion including at least a lower end of the lower inflation portion is deployed and inflated between a console box arranged between the adjacent vehicle seats and the occupant. In the upper inflation portion, the portion positioned on the lateral side of the head portion is deployed and inflated such that a dimension in the width direction increases toward a front side.

Abstract: A side airbag device includes a folded-up airbag and a limitation member disposed around the airbag for constraining the airbag from protruding forward at airbag deployment. The limitation member is formed of a flexible sheet member into a band shape, and is joined to the folded-up airbag by the opposite end regions. The limitation member includes a loose region which is arranged around the folded-up airbag in such a manner as to be remote from the folded-up airbag. The loose region is disposed on a side of the folded-up airbag towards which the airbag protrudes. The loose region includes a tearable region in the region in a deployment direction of the airbag.

Abstract: The present invention is applied to an airbag that is divided into a first inflation chamber and a second inflation chamber by a vertical partition having a communication hole. The airbag is folded to be turned into a storage form and stored in a storage portion located in the vicinity of a side of an occupant. The airbag is turned into the storage form by being subjected to first to third folding operations. In the first folding, an upper portion of the airbag in an uninflated and deployed state is folded back away from the occupant along a folding line that is inclined to be lower toward the front end. In the second folding, the airbag is folded from the front to the rear. In the third folding, an upper portion of the airbag is folded back away from the occupant.

Abstract: An airbag is stored in a storage portion provided in a side of the seat back of a car seat and fixed to a side frame portion. The airbag is deployed and inflated by inflation gas that is supplied in response to an impact from a side of the seat back. The airbag displaces a cover main body of a cover sideways from the seat back with a hinge portion function as a pivot, so that the storage portion is opened. The airbag includes an upstream inflation portion, which forms a rear part and receives inflation gas, and a downstream inflation portion, which is located forward of the upstream inflation portion. The downstream inflation portion receives inflation gas via the upstream inflation portion. The upstream inflation portion has a front end that is located forward of a front end of the cover when the upstream inflation portion is inflated.
