Abstract: A display device for a vehicle includes: a display unit including a display surface that is configured to display information to an occupant of a vehicle; a display control unit that is configured to set the information displayed at the display surface and a display area in which the information is displayed at the display surface; a drive unit that is configured to drive the display unit in and out of an interior member that is disposed in a vehicle cabin; and a drive control unit that is configured to control the drive unit such that the display area and an exposed area, of the display surface, which is exposed from the interior member are proportional to each other.
