Abstract: A rotary electric machine includes: a shaft that rotates about an axial direction; a rotor that is disposed around the shaft and that includes a rotor core and a plurality of magnets provided in the rotor core; a stator that is disposed around the rotor and that includes a stator core and a stator coil provided in the stator core; a magnetic flux short circuit plate that is disposed so as to face the rotor core in the axial direction and that moves in the axial direction; a biasing member that biases the magnetic flux short circuit plate to a side away from the rotor core; a holding member that holds the biasing member; and a fixing member that fixes the holding member to the shaft. Further, a strength of a material of the fixing member is higher than a strength of a material of the holding member.

Abstract: An electric motor includes: a stator; and a rotor, in which the rotor includes: a rotor core having magnet insertion holes; and magnets in the magnet insertion holes. Further, the rotor core includes: a rotor core main body; rotor core outer peripheral portions positioned outward in the rotor radial direction with respect to the magnets and forming parts of inner surfaces of the magnet insertion holes outward in the rotor radial direction; and bridges, forming the respective magnet insertion holes by connecting the rotor core main body and the rotor core outer peripheral portions, the bridges being formed to be thinner than thickest portions of the rotor core outer peripheral portions, and the magnets are shaped to be a cross-section polyhedron having oblique sides which narrow as the oblique sides go from the inward toward the outward in the rotor radial direction.

Abstract: A control device for an internal combustion engine includes a knock control system, a cooling system, and an electronic control unit. The knock control system is configured to ignite a spark plug an ignition crank angle obtained by retarding the ignition crank angle in response to an occurrence of the knocking. The electronic control unit is configured to supply a command value corresponding to a target value of a cooling parameter to the cooling system such that the cooling system performs cooling of the internal combustion engine according to the command value. The electronic control unit is configured to correct the command value based on a KCS learned value such that as the KCS learned value increases, a correction amount for correcting the command value increases in correction amount in a direction in which a cooling capacity of the cooling system increases.
