Abstract: When a travel mode in which an engine is not used as a drive power source for travel is switched to a travel mode in which the engine is used as a drive power source for travel in response to an acceleration request from a driver, it is determined whether an assist torque which is able to be output from a second rotary machine is sufficient for a required assist torque for compensating for an output shortage of the engine due to a supercharging response delay in a supercharger. When it is determined that the assist torque is not sufficient for the required assist torque, an engine rotation speed is increased to a predetermined target rotation speed by an MG1 torque of a first rotary machine.

Abstract: A control device for a vehicle includes an electronic control unit configured to: execute driving assistance control for driving the vehicle at least by automatically controlling a speed irrespective of a driving operation of a driver; execute regenerative braking using a rotator at a time of deceleration during travel under the driving assistance control, and to restrict downshift of an automatic transmission when a demanded deceleration amount for the vehicle is equal to or lower than a predetermined deceleration amount; and execute the regenerative braking using the rotator at the time of deceleration during the travel under the driving assistance control, and not to restrict the downshift when the demanded deceleration amount is higher than the predetermined deceleration amount.

Abstract: When an acceleration request is issued, an electronic control unit for a hybrid vehicle performs control for producing an acceleration feeling of setting a target engine rotation speed to an initial rotation speed (=basic initial value+initial value correction value) which is lower than an optimal-fuel-efficiency rotation speed at which required engine power is able to be most efficiently output and increasing the engine rotation speed from the initial rotation speed to the optimal-fuel-efficiency rotation speed at a rotation speed increase rate (=basic increase rate+increase rate correction value) based on the elapse of time. When the target supercharging pressure is high, the initial value correction value is set to a greater value and the increase rate correction value is set to a greater value than when the target supercharging pressure is low.

Abstract: A vehicle control system, a vehicle control method, and a storage medium are provided. A stopping process stops fuel supply to one or more stopping cylinders and supplies fuel to one or more remaining cylinders during a load operation of an engine. During execution of the stopping process, a compensating process compensates for a decrease in output of the one or more stopping cylinders due to the execution of the stopping process by increasing output generated by combustion in the one or more remaining cylinders. The system control circuit causes, when the engine rotation speed of the engine is the same, the output after being increased by the compensating process to decrease as a shaft torque of the crankshaft of the engine increases.

Abstract: A controller for a hybrid vehicle controls a first motor generator and a second motor generator such that electric power input to a battery does not exceed an input upper limit value and electric power output from the battery does not exceed an output upper limit value. The controller executes motoring to rotate an output shaft using the first motor generator with combustion operation of an engine stopped, thereby causing a braking force generated by friction of the engine to act on a driven wheel. The controller executes a valve-opening limitation process that limits an increase in a throttle open degree in correspondence with the input upper limit value upon issuance of an increase request for the throttle open degree that is not based on an operation of requesting a change in the braking force performed by a driver during the execution of the motoring.

Abstract: When it is determined that there is a likelihood of occurrence of an abnormality in a supercharger, a maximum engine rotation speed and a maximum MG2 rotation speed are changed to a low rotation speed side and operating points of an engine and a rotary machine are controlled such that an engine rotation speed and an MG2 rotation speed are respectively within ranges which do not exceed the changed maximum rotation speeds. Accordingly, even when the supercharger does not operate normally and an abnormal increase in a supercharging pressure occurs, it is possible to curb a high-rotation state of the engine rotation speed and the MG2 rotation speed. As a result, even when an abnormal increase in the supercharging pressure occurs, it is possible to curb a decrease in durability of components.

The dashpot control processing portion sets a value of the request driving force as a value of a final request driving force used to calculate request engine power when a difference of the request driving force with respect to the travel driving force is less than a predetermined positive value, and sets a value that belatedly follows the request driving force when the difference is greater than or equal to the predetermined positive value.

A smaller value is calculated as a change rate limit value when the chargeable and dischargeable electric power is small than when the chargeable and dischargeable electric power is great, and the calculated change rate limit value is used to perform gear shifting control in the stepped gear shifting unit.

Abstract: Since a maximum rotation speed of a second rotary machine is set to a lower value when a supercharging pressure is high than when the supercharging pressure is low, an engine torque decreases with an rotation speed of the second rotary machine which is relatively low and the rotation speed is less likely to fall into a high-rotation state. When the supercharging pressure is relatively low and the rotation speed is less likely to reach an upper-limit rotation speed of the second rotary machine, the maximum rotation speed is set to a relatively high value. Accordingly, the engine torque does not decrease to the rotation speed which is relatively high and power performance can be easily secured. As a result, it is possible to prevent a decrease in power performance due to the decrease in the engine torque and to prevent the rotation speed from falling into a high-rotation state.
