Abstract: In a case where it is determined that a merging travel control cannot be executed, a host vehicle is caused by a stop control unit to stop in a travelling lane toward a boundary line between the travelling lane and a merging destination lane. For this reason, the possibility increases that the range, over which the driver of the host vehicle can directly view the merging destination lane from the side window, will widen.
