摘要： In a radiation image recording and read-out apparatus, stimulable phosphor sheets are circulated along a predetermined circulation path through an image recording section for recording a radiation image of an object on the stimulable phosphor sheet by exposing the stimulable phosphor sheet to radiation through the object, an image read-out section including a stimulating ray source which is disposed in the circulation path and emits stimulating rays for scanning the stimulable phosphor sheet and a photoelectric converter which receives light emitted from the stimulable phosphor sheet to obtain an image signal and an erasing section for releasing residual radiation energy in the stimulable phosphor sheet before the stimulable phosphor sheet is returned to the image recording section. A cleaning sheet having thereon an adhesive material layer is transferred along the circulation path.

摘要： A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises an optical system for scanning a stimulable phosphor sheet carrying a radiation image stored therein by stimulating rays, a light guide member for guiding light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet upon exposure to stimulating rays, a light guiding mirror for reflecting the emitted light to the light guide member, and a photoelectric converter for detecting the light guided by the light guide member. The light guiding mirror is provided with a reflection plane which reflects the light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet and which does not reflect stimulating rays. Or, a filter for absorbing the stimulating rays reflected by the stimulable phosphor sheet and transmitting the light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet is positioned between the scanned portion of the stimulable phosphor sheet and the light guiding mirror.

摘要： A plurality of picture image data obtained from a film in one film handling operation by a film scanner with the automatic film feeding function are output as prints by a digital printer and also as files in a recording medium by a file outputting device. In the system for providing the above two kinds of output services, the numbers of film scanners, file outputting devices, and digital printers are determined so that the processing performance of each kind of apparatus in a unit time times the number of each kind of apparatus is almost the same, to make each kind of apparatus comprising the system demonstrate its full performance. A medium image obtaining device for obtaining an image file recorded in a medium and a digital camera image obtaining device may further be provided so that the above two outputting services are promptly provided for a picture image such as a processed image recorded in a medium and brought into a service provider by a customer and a picture image recorded by a digital camera, whereby one system can carry out film reading, image obtaining from a medium or a digital camera, picture print generation, and writing a picture image in a recording medium.

摘要： A stimulable phosphor sheet, on which a radiation image of an object has been stored, is exposed to stimulating rays, which cause the stimulable phosphor sheet to emit light in proportion to the amount of energy stored thereon during its exposure to radiation. The emitted light is detected by a photoelectric read-out device, and an image signal representing the radiation image is thereby obtained. Threshold value processing is carried out in accordance with the obtained image signal, and a prospective abnormal pattern is thereby detected from the radiation image. A predetermined threshold value, which is used in the threshold value processing for detecting the prospective abnormal pattern, is set to be a small value as the amount of change in the image signal corresponding to the region in the vicinity of the prospective abnormal pattern becomes large.

A display device displays the radiation image related to diagnosis which the radiation image signal related to diagnosis represents and a radiation image for comparison which the retrieved radiation image signal for comparison represents side by side so that they are viewed simultaneously.

摘要： In a method of adjusting read-out conditions for a radiation image stored on a stimulable phosphor sheet by limiting the radiation exposure field, digital image signals at respective positions on the stimulable phosphor sheet for detected on the basis of image information obtained by preliminary read-out.
