摘要: In a charged particle detector, the vacuum barrier can be reduced in size and a multichannel configuration is possible. A charged particle detector includes a metallic frame having one or more holes formed therein, a light transmitting member fixed in each of the holes of the metallic frame, an inorganic scintillation element fixed on a surface of the light transmitting member, the surface being on a first side of the member; and a photodetector disposed on a surface of the light transmitting member, the surface being on a second side opposing the first side of the member. Charged particles having passed through the inorganic scintillation element are sent via the light transmitting member to the photodetector and are detected by the photodetector.

摘要: The present invention provides a method that is useful for measuring the absolute amount of a target protein contained in a protein mixture, such as a biological sample. The method of the present invention includes the steps of: (A) fragmenting the sample containing the target protein and labeling with a stable isotope X; (B) adding, to the sample obtained in step (A), a known amount of an internal standard that is prepared by fragmenting a standard protein that is identical to the target protein, and labeling with a stable isotope Y; (C) placing the sample obtained in step (B) in an LC-MS/MS device and performing multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) analysis using MRM transitions selected for the internal standard; and (D) identifying, in the MRM chromatogram detected in step (C), a peptide derived from the target protein (a target peptide) that shows the same retention time as a peptide derived from the internal standard (an internal standard peptide), and quantifying the target protein in the test sample by comparing the peak area of the internal standard peptide with the peak area of the target peptide.

摘要: A disk apparatus includes a light emitter that emits a light beam to be reflected on the optical disk, a light detector that detects a reflected light beam that is reflected from the optical disk, the light detector also outputting detection signals based on the amount of the reflected light beam detected, and a controller determines whether the optical disk is a recordable optical disk or not based on the detection signals. The controller also shifts a spot on the light detector at which the reflected light beam is incident by adjusting the focus point of the light beam on the optical disk in the radial direction when the controller determines that the optical disk is not a recordable optical disk. A wobble signal can be detected with high precision at low cost even when the position of the light detector is not balanced in the radial direction.

摘要: An optical pickup irradiates laser light upon a track of an optical disk and receives light reflected therefrom. A tracking actuator shifts an objective lens of this optical pickup in a tracking direction. A tracking error signal detection circuit outputs a tracking error signal based upon the reflected light received by the optical pickup. A phase compensation circuit generates a tracking drive signal based upon the tracking error signal, and outputs this tracking drive signal to the tracking actuator. A balance compensation value calculation circuit calculates a balance compensation value for the tracking error signal according to the tracking drive signal outputted by the phase compensation circuit. And a balance compensation circuit adds this balance compensation value to the tracking error signal detected by the tracking error signal detection circuit, and inputs this compensated value to the phase compensation circuit.

摘要: Firstly, the following check chip is set up into a heater: A check chip onto which a sample has been picked up by wiping out the surface of a check target, or a check chip formed by absorbing and collecting the sample into a filter. Here, the filter has been set up in a vibration-type or heating-type portable-type absorption probe in an attachment/detachment-capable manner. Secondly, a sample gas generated from the heated check chip is analyzed using a tandem-type mass spectrometer. This makes it possible to simplify the sample pick-up from various types of check targets, and to shorten the pick-up time and the checking time.

摘要: The optical disk device includes a generation means and a LC servo means. The generation means generates a lens error signal based on an electrical signal output from a pickup head. After amplifying the lens error signal with a predetermined gain, the generation means outputs the lens error signal. The LC servo means performs lens center servo control based on the lens error signal. The optical disk device further includes a measurement means which measures, before the lens center servo control, a first and a second amplitude values of the lens error signal. The measurement means calculates a current gain based on the first and second amplitude values, the latest gain which is currently set, and a predetermined target amplitude value. Then the measurement means sets the current gain to the generation means.
