At the extraction unit the pixel having the average calculated by the filter as the pixel value is extracted at an extraction rate of 1/(2n−1), where n is a positive integer value.

    摘要: The present invention relates to apparatuses and methods for image processing, recording media, and programs in which extraction processing utilizing all pixels can be conducted. When a horizontal-component low-pass filter performs (1, 0, 1, 0, 1)/3 filtering with one of the green pixels in the first line as a target pixel, green pixels are multiplied by 1, red pixels are multiplied by 0, and the sum of the pixel values is divided by 3. As a result, a simple average of the target pixel and the adjacent green pixels is calculated. When one of the red pixels in the first line is defined as a target pixel, a simple average of the target pixel and the adjacent red pixels is calculated in the same manner. Similarly, green and blue pixels in the second line are filtered. Every third pixel of the horizontal components is then extracted in a 1/3 horizontal-extraction unit to generate an extracted-pixel group composed of pixels each having the simple-average value of every third pixel as a target pixel and the adjacent pixels of the same color. The present invention is applicable to digital cameras.
