    摘要: A scroll-type compressor having a unique coupling arrangement for driving the movable scroll is provided. The side of the base portion of the movable scroll opposite the spirals has a plurality of recesses disposed in a circular pattern. A support plate having a plurality of complementary recesses therein is positioned such that its recesses face the recesses in the movable plate. The diameters of the first and second recesses are different from one another. Coupling members are disposed between each facing pair of recesses. The coupling member has small and large diameter portions. The small diameter portion extends into its associated smaller recess while the large diameter portion extends into its larger associated recess. With this arrangement, the required width of the recess bearing portion of the support plate may be reduced relative to conventional designs which has several advantages.

    摘要: In a scroll type of compressor having a stationary scroll, a movable scroll opposed to the stationary scroll and rotatable thereabout but not rotatable about its own axis, so that a closed chamber which decreases in volume during the rotation of the movable scroll is defined by and between the stationary scroll and the movable scroll, and an introduction passage through which a coolant is introduced into the compressor, wherein a capacity varying apparatus comprises a suction restriction mechanism provided in the introduction passage to control the cross sectional area thereof in accordance with the pressure of the coolant, a by-pass passage extending through the stationary scroll to connect the portion of the closed chamber connected to start ends of scroll portions provided on the movable and stationary scrolls, while being reduced in volume, to suction pressure area in the compressor, a by-pass opening and closing mechanism provided in the by-pass passage to open and close the latter in accordance with the pressure of the coolant, and a control valve actuated in accordance with the pressure of the coolant before being restricted, to control the operation of the suction restriction mechanism and the by-pass opening and closing mechanism.

    摘要: A scroll type compressor comprising a fixed scroll and movable scroll. The movable scroll revolves above an axis of the fixed scroll. Thus, a spiral portion of the movable scroll slides and moves relative to a spiral portion of the fixed scroll so as to compress a refrigerant gas between the spiral portions. A sealing member is mounted on the free end of each sealing member. The sealing member slides on a facing surface of the opposing scroll. An oil passage is provided in at least one of the scrolls. The oil passage opens at the rear surface of the sealing member and is able to supply lubricating oil to the rear surface. A constriction is provided in the oil passage. The constriction limits the flow of the lubricating oil towards the sealing member.

    摘要: In a scroll type compressor, a movable scroll is engaged with an immovable scroll so that spaces are formed for taking in a fluid to be compressed. The movable scroll is revolved around a central axis of the immovable scroll, so that the spaces are displaced toward the centers of the walls while a volume thereof is reduced to compress the fluid therein. The revolution of the movable scroll is converted from a rotation of a drive shaft through an eccentric mechanism provided therebetween. The shaft is rotatably supported by first and second angular bearings, which are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis of the shaft and are far from and adjacent to the eccentric mechanism, respectively. The first and second bearings are correlatively oriented, and thus an increase of a load to which the second bearing is subjected due to a force exerted upon the shaft in a cantilever manner during a compression operation is suppressed.

    摘要: A scroll compressor having a stationary scroll member and a rotary scroll member. The compressor is provided with a mechanism for obtaining an orbital movement of the rotary scroll member while preventing a rotation thereof about its own axis. The mechanism has a stationary and a rotary ring arranged in parallel and spaced from each other. These rings form a plurality of circumferential spaced facing pairs of circular holes. The mechanism also has shoes arranged in the respective holes and balls arranged between the shoes in the facing pair of holes. The shoes can maintain a parallel location with respect to the corresponding holes, since the shoes are movable relative to the ball. A sealtight contact of the rotary scroll member with the stationary scroll member is realized over a prolonged period.

    摘要: An air conditioning system 100 may include a compressor 101 having a driving chamber 110, a cooling circuit 151, a heating circuit 152 and a controller 189. This system may release high pressure refrigerant from the compressor discharge port 120 into the compressor driving chamber 110 by means of the controller 189. The controller 189 may include a selector 181, a first refrigerant releasing means 183 and a second refrigerant releasing means 185. The selector 181 connects the discharge port 120 and the driving chamber 110 by both the first and second refrigerant releasing means 183, 185 when discharge pressure of the refrigerant has reached a predetermined high-pressure state during operation of the heating circuit 152. When the discharge pressure of the refrigerant results an abnormal high pressure state during the operation of the heating circuit 152, the high pressure refrigerant is released from the discharge port 120 into the driving chamber 110 not only by a single refrigerant releasing means 185 but by double refrigerant releasing means 183, 185. Therefore, the high pressure refrigerant can be swiftly released into the driving chamber 110 to increase the pressure in the driving chamber 110 and the necessary time for reducing the compressor discharge pressure can be minimized. Thus, the abnormal high discharge pressure can be quickly alleviated.

The heater apparatus includes a coolant circuit for cooling an engine, a coolant circulating through the circuit, a heat generator for transferring heat to the coolant, and a heater core for transferring heat from the coolant. The heat generator houses a viscous fluid and a rotor selectively connected to and disconnected from the engine by a clutch. The clutch connects the engine with the rotor to shear the viscous fluid and generate heat. When the rotating speed of the rotor exceeds a rotor speed limit, which varies in accordance with the detected coolant temperature, the clutch disconnects the rotor of the heat generator from the engine and de-activates the heat generator.
