摘要: A motion detection apparatus includes an acceleration sensor which detects acceleration generated by motion of an electronic device; a motion detecting section including a statistical processing section which calculates the average value of data provided from the acceleration sensor, calculates the difference between the average value and the last value of the data obtained, and calculates a pseudo-variance value of the data from the calculated difference; a threshold comparing section which compares the pseudo-variance value calculated by the motion detecting section with a motion threshold to generate a signal value in response to determination that the pseudo-variance value has exceeded the motion threshold; a first buffer memory which sequentially stores signal values generated by the threshold comparing section at predetermined time intervals; and a signal generating section which includes means for adding up values in the first buffer memory, thereby appropriately associating with motion.

摘要: A method to reduce the power dissipation of a system by omitting an unnecessary CPU throttling operation in a power management apparatus that performs the CPU throttling operation. A power management apparatus 10 is constituted by an event detecting section 12 to detect an event in a system, an activity detecting section 14 to decide whether the system is in a busy state or in an idle state by checking whether or not there is activity in the system, and a clock control section 16 to execute CPU-clock control. The control section 16 does not perform an unnecessary CPU throttling operation, by stopping the CPU throttling operation when the system is in the idle state and performing the CPU throttling operation only when the system is in the busy state. With this, the power dissipation of the system can be considerably reduced.

摘要: A transdermal drug delivery system for treatment of ophthalmic diseases comprising a structure that a plaster layer containing a remedy for ophthalmic diseases is provided on a support, wherein the system is applied to a skin surface including a front surface of an eyelid to administer the remedy for ophthalmic diseases in the plaster layer to an ophthalmic topical tissue by percutaneous permeation substantially without being administered through a systemic blood flow. Use of the transdermal drug delivery system for treatment of ophthalmic diseases, comprising applying the transdermal drug delivery system to a skin surface including a front surface of an eyelid to transfer the remedy for ophthalmic diseases in the plaster layer to an ophthalmic topical tissue by percutaneous permeation substantially without being administered through a systemic blood flow, and a method for transferring the remedy for ophthalmic diseases to the ophthalmic topical tissue.
