    摘要: A supercharging pressure controller for a turbocharger. The supercharging pressure control device according to the present invention includes a drive device for driving a valve of a variable geometry mechanism which varies the flow area in the exhaust gas channel, a drive device for driving a valve provided in a bypass channel into which the exhaust gas is introduced to bypass the exhaust gas turbine, and a pressure sensor for detecting the supercharging pressure of the inlet air to the internal combustion engine. A control value obtaining device obtains a value for controlling the variable geometry mechanism drive device in accordance with the RPM of the engine and a value of the added load on the engine calculated thereby. A first control device controls the variable geometry mechanism drive device, using a control value obtained by compensating the control value from the control value obtaining means in accordance with a first target supercharging pressure set value and the detected value obtained by the pressure sensor at the time when the engine is in a predetermined operating region. A second control device controls the bypass channel valve drive device, using a control value obtained by compensating the control value from the control value obtaining device in accordance with a second target supercharging pressure set value and the detected value obtained by the pressure sensor at the time when the engine is in another operating region. A cutoff device cuts off the compensating control by the first control device. A recording control device records a compensated value from the second control device and controls the bypass channel valve drive device with the activation of the cutoff device by the recorded compensated value at the time when an abnormality or malfunction of the supercharging pressure detection device is recognized.

    摘要: A turbocharger including an exhaust turbine and a compressor is controlled using a variable geometry apparatus at the inlet of the exhaust turbine and an exhaust bypass valve bypassing the exhaust turbine. Operating conditions of the engine driven by the turbocharger are detected as is the supercharging pressure produced by the compressor. A deviation between the detected supercharging pressure and a target supercharging pressure is calculated and integrated. A controlled variable is calculated for actuating at least one of the variable geometry apparatus and the exhaust bypass valve based on the operating conditions and a learned value. Feedback control is used to correct the controlled variable in accordance with the integrated value of the deviation. A determination is made as to an operating range in which feedback control is to be performed and the learning amount is calculated in accordance with the result of the operating range determination and the integrated value of the deviation.

Also overshoot control for the actual supercharge pressure due to excessive correction according is prevented by utilizing selective control by a proportional or a proportional plus integral scheme.

The supercharging pressure is regulated by a variable geometry means and an exhaust bypass valve means, which in turn are responsive to control means which receive feedback correction. The feedback correction is based on calculated controlled variables. Optimum control of the supercharging pressure is accomplished by finding a learning amount based on the feedback correction which in turn is used to modify the calculated control variables.
