摘要： A tape cassette including a housing of two sections joined with a magnetic tape inside has in its front wall a center opening for magnetic head and two openings for capstan insertion, each housing section having a U-shaped guide joined to a partition behind one capstan opening. In each housing section the U-shaped guide has a pair of guide ribs formed on the opening side and having a height greater than the tape width, and a wall supporting the rear portions of the guide ribs and partitions formed at the rear of the center opening and the other opening are all formed to a height about half that of the guide ribs.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette capable of effectively preventing separation of a slider from a casing even when it is dropped or any external force is applied thereto, resulting in ensuring its safety and reliability. The magnetic case includes a casing constituted by an upper casing member and a lower casing member and a slider slidably mounted on the lower casing member. Each of side walls of the slider includes a lower portion opposite to an outer surface of a side wall of the lower casing member and an upper portion opposite to an inner surface of the side wall of the upper casing member. The cassette also includes a mechanism for preventing the slider from being disclocated from the casing. The mechanism may be provided by positioning the inner surface of the side wall of the upper casing member inwardly from the outer surface of the side wall of the lower casing member. Alternatively, it may be provided by positioning the inner surface outwardly from the outer surface through a slit defined therebetween and forming the upper portion of the side wall of the slider into a thickness larger than the slit.

摘要： A tape cassette comprises a case including upper and lower halves, each having a pair of parallel side walls and a back wall extending between the side walls, a pair of reels housed in the case on which magnetic tape is wound, and a brake member freely slidably mounted on the inner face of the lower case half, the brake member having a pair of legs which slide on the inner face of the lower case half along the side walls thereof, movable to a position wherein rotation of each of the reels is prevented. A control device is provided for limiting the movement of each of the legs of the brake member in the direction of the width of the case. The control device includes members each of which projects from a respective one of the side walls of the upper case half and is located adjacent to one face of a respective one of the legs of the control device which is opposite to the face thereof which slides on the inner face of the lower case half.

摘要： A casing for a magnetic tape cassette capable of effectively and precisely actuating a slider. The casing includes a casing body having an upper casing member and a lower casing member joined together. The slider is slidably mounted on the lower casing member so as to cover at least a part of a bottom and a side of the lower casing member. The upper casing member is provided at a rear portion of both sides thereof with holding members through which the casing is grasped. The holding members are separated or isolated from the slider, to assure smooth sliding movement of the slider. The casing body may be provided on both sides thereof with reliefs which serve to prevent the holding members from interfering with movement of the slider.

摘要： A tape clamp mechanism for the reel hub of a tape cassette has a clamp block for clamping a tape to the reel hub. The clamp block has a main block having spaced opposite ends, an outer curved surface and an inner surface corresponding to the outer circumferential curved surface of the reel hub. A first pair of prongs project from the inner surfaces of both ends of the clamp block. A bridge member is provided on the inner surface of the main block. A second pair of prongs projects from the bridge member. The reel hub has a recess for receiving the clamp block. The recess has cavities for interacting with the first and second pairs of prongs of the clamp block. The clamp block is settable in the recess of the reel hub by a snap mounting or friction fit mounting method.

A brake is slidably mounted on the inner surface of the lower half of the case to prevent the reels from being rotated. Part of a spring is attached to the brake. The spring has free ends and urges the brake in a direction. A device for positioning the spring includes a partition wall on the inner surface of the lower half of the case which partitions the open case from the inside of the case. An independent abutment member on the partition wall abuts the free ends of the spring.
