摘要： A tape cassette including a housing of two sections joined with a magnetic tape inside has in its front wall a center opening for magnetic head and two openings for capstan insertion, each housing section having a U-shaped guide joined to a partition behind one capstan opening. In each housing section the U-shaped guide has a pair of guide ribs formed on the opening side and having a height greater than the tape width, and a wall supporting the rear portions of the guide ribs and partitions formed at the rear of the center opening and the other opening are all formed to a height about half that of the guide ribs.

摘要： A tape cassette is provided which is so constructed that a plurality of weighting members are fittedly held in fitting apertures or recesses of a casing formed at corners of the casing in a detachable manner while being exposed at part thereof on a surface of the casing. Such construction of the cassette not only permits the cassette to exhibit optimum vibration-damping properties to ensure satisfactory recording and reproducing of the cassette and contributes an improvement in mechanical strength of the cassette but provides the cassette with a variation in design sufficient to exhibit good aesthetic properties, to thereby increase a merchandise value of the cassette.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette capable of effectively preventing separation of a slider from a casing even when it is dropped or any external force is applied thereto, resulting in ensuring its safety and reliability. The magnetic case includes a casing constituted by an upper casing member and a lower casing member and a slider slidably mounted on the lower casing member. Each of side walls of the slider includes a lower portion opposite to an outer surface of a side wall of the lower casing member and an upper portion opposite to an inner surface of the side wall of the upper casing member. The cassette also includes a mechanism for preventing the slider from being disclocated from the casing. The mechanism may be provided by positioning the inner surface of the side wall of the upper casing member inwardly from the outer surface of the side wall of the lower casing member. Alternatively, it may be provided by positioning the inner surface outwardly from the outer surface through a slit defined therebetween and forming the upper portion of the side wall of the slider into a thickness larger than the slit.

摘要： A tape cassette comprises a case including upper and lower halves, each having a pair of parallel side walls and a back wall extending between the side walls, a pair of reels housed in the case on which magnetic tape is wound, and a brake member freely slidably mounted on the inner face of the lower case half, the brake member having a pair of legs which slide on the inner face of the lower case half along the side walls thereof, movable to a position wherein rotation of each of the reels is prevented. A control device is provided for limiting the movement of each of the legs of the brake member in the direction of the width of the case. The control device includes members each of which projects from a respective one of the side walls of the upper case half and is located adjacent to one face of a respective one of the legs of the control device which is opposite to the face thereof which slides on the inner face of the lower case half.

摘要： A magnetic tape cassette housing is divided into a major part and a rear frame member attached to the rear end of the major part. The major part is divided into a pair of side frame members which are formed of a material of low friction coefficient and a main body surrounded and held together by the side frame members and rear frame member. The housing is of double-layer structure consisting of inside and outside layers. The inside layers are formed with steps along the edges of the side frame members and the rear frame member, and the outside layers are so formed as to fall onto the steps and extend inwardly of the edges of the side frame members. The main body and side frame members are formed with mutually engageable, temporary fasteners. The outer surface of the outside layer is satin crape finished and at least the interface between the inside and outside layers mirror finished.

摘要： In a magnetic tape cassette having a housing and a cover mounted thereon, contaminants are prevented from passing into the housing interior at the point where the cover is mounted on the cassette, and thereby prevented from reaching the magnetic tape mounted in the interior of the housing. This is attained by partitioning an interior of the housing adjacent a wall portion thereof, into an outer contaminant-receiving compartment at which the cover is pivotally mounted, and an inner tape-receiving compartment. The partition prevents any communication between these two respective compartments.
