Abstract:
An image recording apparatus includes a recording head and a first conveyance unit. An applying unit applies the recording medium on the first conveyance unit with treatment liquid. One end of a second conveyance unit is connected on an upstream side from the applying unit disposed on the first conveyance unit and the other end is connected on a downstream side from the applying unit disposed on the first conveyance unit and on the upstream side from the recording head in the conveyance direction, the second conveyance unit conveying the recording medium. A conveyance switching unit is disposed on the one end of the second conveyance unit and switches conveyance of the recording medium to the applying unit side of the first conveyance unit or to the second conveyance unit side according to a content of recording data.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the invention, in an inkjet printer, after attaching a colorless pretreatment liquid onto plain paper, at least one ink composition capable of reacting with the pretreatment liquid is injected, thereby forming an image. The pretreatment liquid contains water, a metal salt, a fluorescent brightener and at least one butane derivative selected from the group consisting of 3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol, 1,3-butylene glycol and isoprene glycol. The ink composition contains a coloring material and water.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the invention is concerned with an aqueous inkjet ink containing an ink solvent containing water and a water-soluble organic solvent containing glycerin and triethylene glycol and a pigment dispersed in the ink solvent. The water-soluble organic solvent accounts for from 30 to 80% by weight of the ink solvent, a weight of the triethylene glycol is from 0.5 to 1.5 times the weight of the glycerin, and the pigment is blended in an amount of from 2 to 20% by weight of the total weight of the ink.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the present invention, with an inkjet printer, an image is formed by adhering a colorless pretreatment liquid containing a polyvalent metal salt, 3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol, and water to a plain paper thereby subjecting the plain paper to pretreatment, and thereafter, ejecting at least one type of ink composition containing a pigment and water and reacting with the polyvalent metal salt onto the plain paper.
Abstract:
A non-aqueous ink composition for inkjet which comprises a pigment, a dispersant, and a non-aqueous solvent is disclosed. The non-aqueous solvent comprises 50 to 90% by weight of a first liquid paraffin, and the balance of a second liquid paraffin, which is characterized in that an average number of carbon atom in the first liquid paraffin is 28 and an average number of carbon atom in the second liquid paraffin ranges from 23 to 27.
Abstract:
An inkjet ink composition is provided, which includes pigment, a dispersing agent, and polyalkylene glycol monoether as a solvent. This ink composition is characterized in that the polyalkylene glycol monoether polyalkylene glycol monoether is constituted by 50-90 wt %, based on an entire quantity of the solvent, of tetraethylene glycol monobutylether, and the balance of triethylene glycol monobutylether.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an ink jet head has a pressure room that is filled with liquid, a nozzle which ejects the liquid in the pressure room, an actuator which varies a volume of the pressure room, and a processor. The processor outputs a voltage having a waveform which sequentially includes an increasing pulse for increasing the volume of the pressure room, a first decreasing pulse for decreasing the volume of the pressure room, and a second decreasing pulse for decreasing the volume of the pressure room, to the actuator as a driving voltage.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an aqueous inkjet ink includes water in an amount of from 35 to 60% by mass of the total amount, an ether in an amount of from 5 to 50% by mass of the total amount, 2,5,8,11-tetramethyl-6-dodecine-5,8-diol in an amount of from 0.2 to 2% by mass of the total amount, and a pigment in an amount of from 3 to 10% by mass of the total amount. The ether includes at least one of polyoxyethylene diglyceryl ether having a weight average molecular weight of not more than 1,000 and polyoxypropylene diglyceryl ether having a weight average molecular weight of not more than 1,000.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an inkjet ink composition including a pigment, a dispersing agent, and a solvent. This solvent is constituted by 60-80 wt %, based on an entire quantity of the solvent, of tetraethylene glycol monobutylether, and the balance of aliphatic alcohol having 14 or 16 carbon atoms.
Abstract:
