Abstract:
An image recording apparatus includes a recording head and a first conveyance unit. An applying unit applies the recording medium on the first conveyance unit with treatment liquid. One end of a second conveyance unit is connected on an upstream side from the applying unit disposed on the first conveyance unit and the other end is connected on a downstream side from the applying unit disposed on the first conveyance unit and on the upstream side from the recording head in the conveyance direction, the second conveyance unit conveying the recording medium. A conveyance switching unit is disposed on the one end of the second conveyance unit and switches conveyance of the recording medium to the applying unit side of the first conveyance unit or to the second conveyance unit side according to a content of recording data.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the invention, in an inkjet printer, after attaching a colorless pretreatment liquid onto plain paper, at least one ink composition capable of reacting with the pretreatment liquid is injected, thereby forming an image. The pretreatment liquid contains water, a metal salt, a fluorescent brightener and at least one butane derivative selected from the group consisting of 3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol, 1,3-butylene glycol and isoprene glycol. The ink composition contains a coloring material and water.
Abstract:
The image forming apparatus includes an upstream side chamber arranged further on an upstream side with respect to an ink flowing direction than a head in a circulating path and configured to temporarily store the ejection liquid that should be supplied to the head through the circulating path, a downstream side chamber arranged further on a downstream side than the head and further on the upstream side than the upstream side chamber in the circulating path and configured to temporarily store the ejection liquid collected from the head, and a pressure-difference adjusting mechanism configured to form a first pressure state in which the pressure in the downstream side chamber is lower than the pressure in the upstream side chamber and the head and a second pressure state in which the pressure in the upstream side chamber is lower than the pressure in the downstream side chamber.
Abstract:
The image forming apparatus includes: plural heads arrayed in a direction orthogonal to a conveying direction of a recording medium and configured to eject ejection liquids onto the conveyed recording medium from plural nozzle holes formed on nozzle surfaces; a cap unit configured to simultaneously cap the nozzle surfaces of all the plural heads; a suction unit configured to simultaneously suck all the nozzle holes on the nozzle surfaces of one head among the plural heads; and a contact and separation mechanism configured to relatively move the cap unit and suction unit and the nozzle surfaces of the heads to be capable of coming into contact with and separating from each other.
Abstract:
The present invention provides, in an image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a recording medium with ejection liquids ejected from plural heads, a technique for enabling easy positioning of the respective plural heads. The image forming apparatus includes: plural heads including a reference head having a positioned section and configured to respectively eject ejection liquids onto a recording medium; a head base having plural head positioning sections on which the plural heads are respectively mounted to be positioned, whereon a reference-head positioning section on which the reference head should be mounted in cooperation with the positioned section of the reference head performs positioning at a degree of freedom of position adjustment lower than that of the other head positioning sections; and a conveying unit configured to convey the recording medium to a position opposed to the head base.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a conveying path that continues to a paper feeding unit and a paper discharge unit, a conveying mechanism that conveys a sheet along the conveying path, plural liquid ejecting heads that eject liquid onto the sheet conveyed on the conveying path, a sensor that is provided in a position between the plural liquid ejecting heads and the paper discharge unit and measures the glossiness of the sheet on which the liquid is ejected, and a control mechanism that compares the glossiness of the sheet immediately after the liquid is ejected and the glossiness measured by the sensor to calculate drying time of the liquid and controls conveying speed of the conveying mechanism to equalize conveying time for the sheet from the plural liquid ejecting heads to the paper discharge unit with the drying time.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus includes a carrying unit that carries a recording medium in a carrying direction, and a recording head that ejects ink to the recording medium carried by the carrying unit to perform recording. An application unit is provided on an upstream side of a carrying direction from the recording head in the carrying unit and supplies a treatment liquid to predetermined division application ranges which are divided in a direction perpendicular to the carrying direction of the recording medium depending on a size of the recording medium.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus includes at least one ink jet head having a plurality of ejection ports arranged herein to eject droplets to a recording medium, a conveyance section including a conveyance surface for conveying the recording medium and to convey the recording medium in a direction different from an arrangement direction of the respective ejection ports, a suction force generation section to generate a suction force to adsorb the recording medium onto the conveyance surface, a thickness detection section to detect a thickness of the recording medium, and a control section to suppress cockling generated in the recording medium according to the thickness of the recording medium.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an inkjet image forming apparatus includes a transport section configured to adsorb a recording medium by suction to transport the recording medium under inkjet heads, and a controller configured to perform control in a manner that an adsorption force to the recording medium if the image is formed on a second surface of the recording medium is larger than an adsorption force to the recording medium if the image is formed on a first surface of the recording medium.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording apparatus includes an ink jet head in which nozzles ejecting aqueous pigment ink in accordance with gradation are arrayed, a sub scanning driving unit which carries a recording medium having an image formed thereon with the ink, a heating unit which selectively heats an area divided into an integral multiple of a minimum recording pixel in the recording medium, and a heating control unit which determines presence and absence of an image based on image information recorded to the recording medium, and controls the heating unit.
